The Pact of The Platinum
The Pact of The Platinum, mostly called the Dragon Agreement is the guiding principle behind the Dragonguard of Edora and the role of dragons as a race in the Prime Material. The pact limits dragons spread and direct influence over the plane in order to maintain balance of order.
Cultural Reception
While the members of the Chromawing do not follow the pact, its members are also recognized as sovereign rulers of their territories. The main difference between the two sects is regarding reproduction and speard.
The chromatic dragons refuse to stop siring offsprings, claiming the land is for the draconics to rule. This forces the metallic dragons to sire more of their own, to kill those of the oposite side and keep the balance.
The inability to directly influence mortals is also a cause for strife, as the Chromawing see them as nothing more than toys and slaves, while the Dragonguard view themselves as their protectorates.
