  1. What is the Numidius?

Short answer? It is a living, ever-changing, persistant world building project that is almost entirely player driven. We suggest you start with the World Meta if this is your first time here. For the long, complete answer, you'll have to dig around a little and find out for yourself.
  2. Is The Numidius a sandbox?

No, in fact, The Numidius is the exact opposite of that! A sandbox is something that you can reset and restart. The Numidius is always moving forward, any changes are kept and being merged as we further expand the world in content and scope.
  3. Where do I start?

If you're new around here, we've already mention before that the World Meta is the best place to start. If you're looking for a more visual exploration of the world you might want to visit the ATLAS. Another option is to go back to the home page and simply pick a category that looks interesting.
  4. Anything specific you think I might find interesting?

Let's start with the fact that you're reading our articles at all is astonishing for us. Rttuo took the daunting task of compiling a short list of articles he thinks others might find interesting:
  5. Can I play?

Unfortunately, we are currently running at full capacity. We are also currently hard at work on a new, and much more streamlined version of the ancient Player's Guide. Once that's ready for publish, we'll be ready to open new groups.
  7. Can I be a game master?

Maybe, if you're already a player. If you've never played with us before, than we're afraid you'll have to wait until we publish a proper Game Master Guide. While we're working on the GM guide alongside the Player's Guide, it will be published separately at a later date, due to balancing and time requirements. Mostly due to time requirements.
  9. Can I use the Numidius as my campaign settings?

Yes, you most certainly can, but if you do we suggest you'll keep your adventures to local areas. Things update on a bit of a different pace at the grand scale, and these changes will not always be immediately apparent unless you know what to look for. We are waiting for the implementation of Child Worlds by the WA team to see how much flexibility we will have in these aspects. While we wait for these features, feel free to run your games based on the lore you find here, adapt what you need for your table and more.
  11. Wait, it's all free? How? Why?

Yes, it's all free, and please read this article before you use a bot to scrape the entire site. It's free because we pay for it out of our pocket. We do that because we enjoy creating stuff, and we love it when people enjoy the stuff we create. It's as simple as that. There is no monetization planned, and if we will ever need one, it would be entirely donation based. Regadless, there will never be a paywall and the entire content of this world is free and will always remain free.
  13. Can I write?

Yes, you can! If you're a player, you probably already have the required permissions. If you're not a player, you'll want to subscribe as a Scribe and to join our discord server.
  15. Should I write?

That is entirely on you. We can not compensate you. If your article inspires us we might throw a nice graphic or two to go along with it, but that is the most we can currently give back. You should also really understand that by writing an article here you are effectively giving it for free to the entire internet. In the end, it's up to you if you want to contribute to this project or not. We're happy to have you along for the journey anyway.
  17. Should I really leave a comment here?

Only if you think it's worth the effort. We'll be indifferent if you didn't, but a little bit happier if you did.
