Crafted Gem Ceremony

This an important but rarely used ceremony used to make rare Crafted gems into Natural Gems bonding their souls and essentially their very will to their masters. This ceremony is never forced onto a person but a choice of the Crafted Gem. It enables them to receive less prejudice and skepticism from others as well as a power of their own. Normally only those chosen at birth to be Gems can gain powers, however a Crafted Gem can gain powers during the ceremony after becoming a Natural Gem. The go through the same process as they normally would at birth and after the ceremony they would finish in a private chamber to complete the Bonding of souls ritual. Afterwards both the monarch and all Gems go into seclusion for 7 days to help the new Natural Gem become adjusted to their new power and pass the dangerous phase which is shorter due to their more mature and grown body. Execution

The master receives an oath from the Gem and then trades blood with them, the master then announces the power the Gem will be bestowed with based on their life and personality. The Gen will be engulfed in their power before it is absorbed into their bodies. They will them be escorted to a special wing of the palace were both the monarch and all gems will stay for 2 months while teaching the gem in how to use their power as well as monitoring their health as the power settles into their body insuring they are not overwhelmed

Components and tools

A silver needle is used to draw blood from both the Gem and masters hands to trade blood as well as a ceremonial robe placed on the Gem before leaving the Hall.

Participants

All nobles as well as any important servants and military figures are expected to attend the event. If and former royalty are still alive when a ceremony takes place they must attend as witnesses as well.

Observance

2 months are taken after the ceremony a when a Gem or monarch receives a new ability they become unstable physically until the power stabilizes and fully merge into their body. Due to being able to share powers the other Gems and master will share some of the overwhelming power to make it easier to handle the over surging strength of the new ability as well as share and split the pain making it more bearable.
