Lucias' body is withered and sickly from years of malnutrition and travel. He has small scars running the length of his arms, denoting his encounters with demons.

Personal history

Lucias was born in the fourth ring of Thraven to a poor family. Never knowing his mother who died in childbirth, Lucias grew up close to his father. Lucias' father was a somewhat accomplished mage, teaching his son about magic from a early age. Constantly living life on the edge, Lucias had more than a few close shaves with mage hunters. But his luck eventually dried up and him and his father were captured when he was 15. His father was promptly executed, but Lucias was given a choice: join the Grey Court or face the fate of his father.
Choosing to spare his life, Lucias was tasked with learning about arcane magic and demon summoning. Lucias traveled the world alone, resenting the people who had taken his father from him. Pledging to break free of the Church's grasp, Lucias focused on honing his magic.
When he was 23, Lucias stumbled into the Town at the Crossroads. Starving and in need of coin, he took the first job he could find. Taking a contract to investigate the disappearance of a local doctor, Lucias found himself in the company of Viggo, Legion and Quinn.
They investigation took them into the sewers under the Town and eventually into the ruins of the pre-Sealbreak ruins that the city was built on. A tiefling named Vice was summoning a blade in its depths that the party barely managed to wrest out of his hands. They met an arcanoloth named Gix whom they ask about the sword. Taking the memory of Lucias' father, Gix told them the nature of the black blade.
Viggo was captured by a band of orcs belonging to the Bloody Hands orc tribe. He succumbed to an owlbear in Bojak the Executant's fighting pit. After seeking their friends the rest of the party was also captured. While they managed to escape relatively unscathed, the only thing left of Lucias was his right arm. The party escaped to Pendleton.
Lucias Blackburn's arm was buried in a small grave outside of Pendleton.
