Justin Olver was born to a family of minor nobles in the third ring of Thraven. He was given an education by the finest scholars in Thraven and worked in his father's bank when he turned of age.
When Justin turned 25, he had gained considerable power in the bank, becoming use to a lavish and opulent lifestyle. He started to wield considerable power in the second and first rings of Thraven, using his wealth to influence elections of Senators and the like.
In 812, the State of Thraven (along with the Church) had been experiencing a long period of tension for nearly a decade. The High Council of Thraven decided that Justin would be the next High Lord; tensions in the capital relaxed.
