Lady Kraken Carric (a.k.a. Karen if you're a friend)

Lady Kraken Carric is an interesting figure in the Demynian Region.
As one of the land-owning Demynian nobles and the fourth cousin to the regional ruler King Tanore Nis Da Derlina Carric, she wields much political power. However, she has a noted disinterest in political squabbles. Besides her inability to move very far from large bodies of water, Lady Kraken stubbornly refuses to sacrifice any of the few mortals in her care for what she considers with quite a touch of disdain, "the noble art of dick measuring". This is only one of the few reasons this eccentric figure is well (and obligatory -- as of the 83 Fall law I Am Asking Literally One Thing) loved.
Others make note of her frequent contributions to the local arts despite her seclusive nature.
It should be noted she is, in fact, a kraken. This fact has drawn a lot of negativity from critics. Lady Kraken is quite proud of her home city-state for being progressive in areas of sea-monster conquest.
She, like most krakens, does have a plan for eventual world domination. As she grew older and fully took over her responsibilities as a Lady, she set those dreams aside to put all her attention into her village. "THE KRAKEN GOD SAYS I THINK I NEED TO WAIT FOR TECHNOLOGY TO CATCH UP," said a Krakentownian guard on behalf of Her Ladyship to the Demynian Times, "A BUSY WOMAN LIKE ME HAS MORE CONCERNS THAN YOU PUNY MORTALS. TRAVEL IS DIFFICULT WHEN YOU HAVE SEVENTY-TWO MOUTHS TO FEED."
When the reporter pointed out the current population of Krakentown is only 43, Lady Kraken went quiet. Finally, the Krakentownian guard relayed, "THE KRAKEN GOD SAYS OH SILLY ME. I MEANT SEVENTY-THREE. I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT PHIL. OH GEE. KEVIN CAN YOU TELL HIM I'M SORRY?" The guard, presumably Kevin, went on to say, "Yeah, I can do that after lunch."

As the Beauty of the Kraken River, it is a simple task for her to twist the wealthy around her little tentacle and gain their favor. They are more than happy to buy her anything she sets one of the villager's upon. To date, she only owns a small box of coppers for giving out to those she thinks deserves them and a small circlet given to her by the Carric family when they adopted her which she eventually grew out of.
