Princess Daera Sunbirth
Daera Sunbirth is the Princess Dryvenia and is the first born child of the king. She has 2 younger brothers and so she is third in line for the throne and unlikely to inherit anything, but she is still an important member of the family being the first born child and eldest daughter.
She is 25 years old and has had many courtships but never truly felt a spark with any of them. Her beauty obviously attracts many would-be suiters but she often politely declines their offers.
When she was 18 she met a young King Jergintarth of Stonebia when he was invited to her 18th birthday. The two formed an instant connection and soon became friends. She took it upon herself to personally show Jergintarth around the city of Dusc, exploring the markets and gardens until the early hours of the evening. During their evening meal Jergintarth expressed his desire to court Daera, but as always she politely declined. Feeling embarrassed, said his goodbyes to the Royal family and took his leave back to his kingdom, but not before promising to write to Daera.
A year passed before Daera heard from Jergintarth again. He wrote to her as a friend, telling her about the goings ons from the past year since they last saw each other. He finished his letter by asking Daera to visit him in Stonebia. She responded in kind, telling Jergintarth about what has happened in the last year and regaling him about the newest markets and restaurants in the city. While she did not decline his request on her own account, she was not allowed to go by her father who naturally was worried for her safety.
After many years of corresponding, her friendship with Jergintarth grew, but she began to worry for his fortitude as she could notice a change in his tone of writing and so she has decided to finally venture to the Kingdom of Stonebia and visit her friend.
