Wanjiru Temitope
Wanjiru Temitope is the current Representative for the country of Landvi’s capital, Giryang. Born and raised there, she has pride in her city and pride in her country. She is hard-headed and sometimes known for being brutish at times, thus earning her the nickname “The Brute.” While she is highly intelligent and cunning, she tends to default to physical might to solve most issues. Her generally aggressive behavior has slowly caused more and more creatures to dislike her, and she stands to lose her seat as Representative for Giryang. Many believe, at her age, she should be retiring soon anyway.

Personal history
Born in 2888 to a single mother, Wanjiru was the youngest in her litter of six. Two of her older brothers died shortly after birth, leaving only one of her brothers, her, and her two sisters left. Wanjiru at first never had dreams for the future, as she remarked in her autobiography. She simply assumed that she would live the same life, day to day, until the day she died. Giryang was a big city even at that time, and it was easy to get lost in. For a long time, she was simply a face in the crowd.
However, in 2899 she joined the notorious gang of creatures called The Ravens. These creatures aimed to cause sociopolitical upset and change through protests and, if need be, violence. Wanjiru was tempted by them, and joined their ranks as an initiate. Her propensity to get into fights was already developing by now, and she soon earned a reputation for being nearly impossible to beat in battle. Even if you did manage to defeat her once, you never would be able to do it twice, as she would learn your style and learn how to overtake you.
During the summer of 2905, a great battle broke out between The Ravens and another local gang called the Riverbanks. This battle claimed many lives, including the life of Wanjiru’s long time mentor. She had no chance to seek revenge, however, as the creature who killed her later was killed in battle themselves. Wanjiru never learned the true identity of this creature, as many gang members kept themselves shrouded in mystery, and that reportedly haunts her to this day. It is also what made her decide to leave the gang life behind and decide to pursue change in a different way: through politics.
Wanjiru became involved in politics the year after, in 2906. Her natural intelligence and ability to grasp difficult concepts proved to be in her favor, as she quickly advanced up the ranks of local government. Beginning as a simple intern for a different government figure, she learned many of the tips and tricks of the political world. She soon began to learn how she could get exactly what she wanted, without ever directly mentioning that she wanted it. She also learned the art of smooth talking, and how to impress others not with her physicality, but with her words. Realizing her potential, the government figure she had been working for -- an older Saber named Timaios Tapia -- decided to take her under his wing and teach her even more.
At the time, Wanjiru was still largely unaware of how the real world really worked. Having been in the gang for so long and not knowing much else, she was essentially clueless. Timaios was a patient mentor, however, often waiting as long as it took for her to be ready to learn and move on. He knew how intelligent and talented she really was, and wanted desperately to bring that side of her to light. With his help, Wanjiru kept advancing up the ranks and, eventually, earned herself a spot in city government.
