C3E5&6 - Arc I | Monthly Flow

General Summary

The crew talks at length about the announcement of a large flood by the strange figure, who turns out to be the Mayor. Citizens begin to take precautions, most noticeably in the form of raising their houses on scissor like mechanical devices. Mayor Shanka explained the floods happening for the past four months and his distinct disdain for Candidate Boris. He says Candidate Boris is a native of Erriston and is simply running so that he can do the bidding of Erriston, the large capital city that is looking to build a railroad right through their village. Candidate Boris seems genuinely interested in winning and trying to make some changes in the village. The village, as he says, is almost torn in two in regards to who might get chosen. 
The flood is expected the next day and decide to wait overnight to set out to find where the source of the water is. Early in the morning, the group is awoken by a screech and rumbling. As they step out of their rooms, they see a 12' foot wave rapidly approaching. They take immediate cover to keep from being swept away. 
After the wave has crashed through town, the rumbling continues and a 20' worm looking creature erupts from out of the well that was in the middle of town. 
The players swoop in to find Mayor Shanka and Candidate Boris fighting the creature. The team works swiftly to dispatch the creature. Following its death, they decide to hit the trail as soon as possible.
