Sol Flower
The Sol Flower was name for its nine petals that reminded human explores of their home. It was later found out that if those with pre-existing Psionics powers ingest it their powers would be massively increased briefly at the cost of the sanity and long term physical anomalies. For this reason NovaGate has made its use illegal. There are still cases of people that eat contaminated grain.

When ingested it can cause an increase in psionic powers yet use will cause biological anomalies. The are rumors of drug that has be made form its flowers at is use on prepuce for it anomalies
Sol Flower makes one in tune with their inner powers making it vastly easier for them use those powers. It varies vastly form one person to another on how long it takes for the physical anomies to start to appear. Some see anomies after as few doses 2 but most see after weekly use for a month to a month and a half. Anomies include but not limited to: elongated skull, become photosynthetic, lose of nails and gaining claws, and change of skin color

Interesting concept to have the plant increase the psionic powers. It would be nice to add want kind of increase there actually is or what the general psionic powers in your world are like.
