Silk
The Salamander hivemind themselves produce vast quantities of silk . This silk is traditionally considered more potent and versatile in magical workings than mundane silk , though recent advances in Circle-based synthetics have led to several groups who contest these claims.Gold
As in other regions of the The South, southern fauns have domesticated several golden ant species, producing the metal in quantities rivaling Northern production. Gold's usefulness in nearly all industries, magical and mundane, establish gold production as a lucrative venture, despite modern attempts at a post-scarce gold economy.Scales
As in the East, there is a large demand for reptile scales in magical workings throughout the world. While the South, in general, is home to many species with scales valuable enough to harvest, it is Naga scales that are considered the most powerful and sought after.
