Orlund
Orlund is the biggest city in all of Nortunem. The city is split in two by the Orlund River; a very calm, old river perfect for boats to travel through. The city that does not rest, everyone is always moving, going somewhere. Smells of river water, exotic herbs, and spices fills the city center. Roughly built in 467nf, every building and every path looks as if it were built yesterday. Every street is cleaned regularly to keep disease and sicknesses from spreading. Laws are strict, but loosely followed.

Petty crimes such as thieving are punishable by 2 days in the stocks, with no food or drink. Serious crimes that include murder, rape, etc. are sentenced to 2 weeks in jail, followed up by a scheduled hanging. Out of the ordinary crimes that do not coincide with petty or serious crimes are sentenced to jail time until a proper punishment is thought up.Taxation
Living within the second wall of the city brings a hefty tax of around 450Valich a week (Does not apply to nobility) For residence in the first wall, but not the second taxes drop to around 150Valich a week The peasants and beggars living outside the city walls are taxed 75Valich.Industry & Trade
Orlund thrives on its trade enterprises. Trading Ships and wagons bring in almost impossible amounts of Valich. Hundreds of stores line the river front, as well as multiple market places. Being in the middle of the open plains of Kendrul, farmland is in an abundance on the outside of the walls.
History
After the unification of Nortunem, The Alvonto Empire built Orlund. Quickly becoming the biggest, most economic booming city in all of Nortunem. It was used to keep King Rembion safe during the Seige of Orlund towards the fall of the Alvonto Empire.
Geography
The North side of Orlund is protected by the rolling hills of the Kendrul plains, an old river flows through the center of the city. The rest of the city is completely open to the beautiful plains, as far as the eye can see. The forests of Stiletto woods and Deadmans Marsh can be seen on the horizon, as well as the Yielding Main ocean.
