Xarith
Home to the cherry blossom trees and the wealthy
The capital city of Xarithria, Xarith is home to all kinds of people. Known for the wealth, the cherry blossom trees (earning it the title, The Pink City), and the beautiful landscape outside of the city walls. Xarith is a multicultural city, with folk of all races coming from far and wide to bask in the beautiful lands. Another major draw of the city is that of The Statue of Crosslinks. It was here that Bushena and Lianeous had their final showdown, with Crosslinks besting the beasts that guarded the Goddess of Death and Dispair leading to Bushena's rule and Crosslinks' final showdown. In the centre of the city you will find a statue devoted to her memory, which folk from far and wide come to witness.
As a result the city is often a busy place to be, with barely a moment to stand still. Wealthy homeowners are known for their lavish tastes and, although Xarith is not a place of many resources, tradesmen come from far and wide to ply their wares. Close to the docks, Xarith is a busy town for trade.
Layout
Inside the city walls, you will find four quarters:- Nawork Market
- Gafferag District
- Ervwem Place
- Tiam Square
Outside of the city walls, you will find small areas of land, including Ebonwood Burial Grounds and Drarvak Wood, alongside a small family owned farm to the south. At the Easternmost point of the city border you will find the docks, ships come and go frequently, often fresh with trade for inside of the city walls. From here also those struck with Vices Nocma are taken to live out their lives on Asapberg, the ships of which are given a wide berth for fear of transmission. It is said that many die aboard the ships that transport the ill and those who do are thrown overboard for a faster transit. Many say that the ghosts of those who die are left in limbo due to their watery grave, haunting the ship and the seas it travels until their bodies are found for a real burial.Nawork Market
It is here that those from outside come to ply their trade. Be it from the local farm to the south of the city walls, or from the outlying cities in Xarithria and further afield. The city blacksmith's boast to create the finest weapons across the land, so as a result has roaring trade, whilst other stalls are for essentials.Gafferag Disrtrict
Gafferag District is home to the smallest of properties in Xarith. Still fairly large in stature, these homes are known to hold noble folk who have wasted away a good portion of their earnings on bed partners and wagers, and those who generally have less money than those in the greater quarters.Erwem Place
The cream of the crop live here, in mansions often built to fit the needs of the homeowner. Each time a new family or other wealthy person moves to Erwem Place it is custom to knock down the existing structure and build anew, using those from outside of the city walls for labour. In the place of the previous home then sits a new one, slightly grander than the one before.Tiam Square
The mid-range homes of the city reside here. Whilst all who live in Xarith are wealthy, these are those in the middle of the pile of wealth. They tend to be those who have worked their way to wealth, but perhaps spent some unwisely. Those who live here are known not to stay long, either quickly sinking down the ladder to the Gafferag District, or rising above to Erwem Place as soon as chance permits.
Demographics
A multicultural city, Xarith attracts folk from across Northmarsh to it's shores. Largely inhabited by those of wealth, it is unlikely to find anyone who works for a living, though you may find owners of tavern chains in Gafferag District or occasionally Ervwem Place.
Government
Ruled over by Bushena as with the rest of Northmarsh, the hand of the law is close by with the Goldenroses patrolling the streets.
Defences
The main city walls are all surrounded by guard towers, trained to spot any intruders at a distance. Each entrance is locked at the first sight of any foul play, and nobody can enter or leave the city for the duration.
Industry & Trade
SXarith is known for it's involvement in industry and development of new ideas. The industry in Xarith is largely focused on development of weapons and magical items, and trade takes place daily for these items. All other trade done comes from outside of the city walls, either the farm to the south or from those who travel into the capital.
Infrastructure
Each quarter holds slightly different buildings. Ervwem Place is known for the mansions that tower over one another, whilst on the opposite end of the scale Gafferag District holds the smallest of the city (although these are still large structures). In Tiam Square you will find the mid-range homes, large in stature but not quite to the level of Ervwem's mansions.
In contrast, Nawork Market holds minimal permanent structures, rather is host to a number of trades folk from around the country selling their wares. The limited buildings come in the form of the blacksmith's and the armourers, located one on each city wall.
Within Xarith drinking is a common sport, and so there are many inns and taverns to chose from. The greater the quarter you are in however, often the greater the chance the drink is not watered down. The Goldenroses patrol each and every street in Xarith, yet they are rarely seen around the inns and taverns of Erwem Place.
Assets
The homes of Xarith are that of legend, and so often looked at greedily by those of a lower stature and class. Despite being demolished every time a new owner takes hold of a property, the mansions are the highest sought after but also the heaviest guarded.
History
Home to the Battle of Crosslinks, Xarith is known to be an influnential location. A statue of Crosslinks resides in the centre of the city and is worshipped by all who visit.
Natural Resources
Xarith, unlike the neighbouring Hilford, is not self sufficient, and relies a lot on the outer cities and villages for grains, wood, and other such resources. With easy access to The Moaning Deep, Xarith is at no loss for water however and, with the assistance of the Paladins who control the coastline, Xarith is never without fresh water. Xarith is also known within the city walls for the cherry blossom tree and many come from far and wide to witness them, as nowhere else is able to grow them.

For a first article, this is a good start! It has a lot of what one would need to make it feel alive and populated. I would suggest maybe using pictures (with credits of course) to maybe spread the text out a bit as it reads a little blocky right now. You can also use lists where they may be a little more appropriate so that it's a little easier on the eye. I certainly look forward to seeing more of your work though!
