Holivar Bassoran

High General Holivar Bassoran is the leader of Talvorak in Heimter. They are also a former General in Navoral, and was the catalyst for the formation of Talvorak through their diplomatic relations.

Description

Appearance

In 743 AR, Holivar Bassoran is a tall firbolg in his third century of life. They have clean braided pink hair that falls well beyond their shoulders and a thick full beard. They have an eye patch covering their right eye, which was lost during a conflict early in their life. In the same conflict, they lost their left arm which has been replaced by an arcane prosthetic.
In public appearences they are commonly seen wielding their sword Lion's Mane and wearing their formal armor. The crest of their house clearly displayed through the symbol of a lion. This lion has become synonymous with the leadership of Talvorak.

Personality

Holivar Bassoran is open and friendly, but not reckless. They have a wisdom that is unmatched on the continent, even their enemies respect the mind that sits in their head, even as much as they would like to remove it. As a leader, High General Bassoran is respected for listening to their advisors whilst still being able to provide their own ideas and prospects. These qualities have kept them in power for the two centuries that Talvorak has existed, remaining unopposed for all this time.
One element of their personality that is consistent throughout Holivar Bassoran's rule is their unwavering faith in Mandra. As a result, this has become the primary deity of the nation. However, the religious practices of other deities are not forbidden beyond the worship of The Deceiver Gods, which is strictly forbidden in the realm, and distained by Holivar personally.

Biography

Born in 395 AR under the united state of Tal'Navoral, Holivar Bassoran grew up in the Myrwood, this is where much of their religious zeal came from, spending days and weeks living among nature. At the age of 50, Holivar decided to travel beyond the Myrwood and join the Honourable Hands , the militia of Tal'Navoral.
Over the decades, they rose up the ranks, becoming a respected general in the Honourable Hands. This would lead to the somewhat peaceful seperation of Talvorak. Stationed in the northern city of Yi'kran, Holivar learned of the plight of the northern people that seperated them from the rich and prosperous southern government. As a result of successful diplomacy and their status, the people who live north of the Divan River were allowed to form their own state, seperate from the newley named Navoral nation.
It is unknown what Holivar Bassoran has to give up to allow for the nation of Talvorak to be formed. However, Holivar has not allowed the sacrafice that was made to affect their judgement and rulership of the nation. It is often stated that Holivar sees the nation as the child they do not possess, as a result they are a kind and loving ruler, who refuses the title of King, waiting for a person of noble and truer intent than themself to grant them the title.
