How long this stage lasts depends on person to person up, there was one girl that stayed in the first stage for three years.
  • Memory Loss
  • Fatigue
  • Frequent Headaches
  • Less control over magic
The Second Stage: Around this time physical symptoms start to manifest. Typically this stage lasts about 1-2 months.
  • Blackening of the Veins (especially around the face and neck areas)
  • Hallucinations
  • Fever
  • Bloody Cough
The Third Stage: This stage is the quickest out of them all and lasts about 3 weeks
  • Severe Headaches
  • Bleeding out of the nose and eyes
  • A Complete loss of magic
The Fourth Stage: Around this time the victim stops being contagious, varies for many of the infected but typically about 3 months.
  • Gradual lose of a persons sense of smell, sight and hearing
  • Gradual Paralysis
The Final Stage: Typically this stage happens when the victim is completely paralysed and they will eventually die. (This stage lasts depending on how long it takes the victim to die.

Treatment

The cure was found in a common herb which you made into a tea but it was found that this only worked up to stage four and sometimes it didn't work at all. Magic was also used to cure the infected.

Prognosis

Anything after stage 4 the likely result was death.

Sequela

Many people who were cured after they lost their sight, healing, paralysis of limbs. Also many of the mages who were infected never regained full control of their magic.
