The world of Nod'Morac is a fairly small scale world, both in size and people, as it covers a single continent on which lives a diminutive race of non-humans, the Moran'Ka. While not nearly as large as our earth, the continent has a long history with multiple cultures, nations, and clans calling it home. The inhabitants have a range of technological advancements, as well as organizations and government types. Most have at least some contact with magic, though not everyone can properly use it. Some of the most advanced Mages can use their personal energy, but most practitioners of magic need tools or materials to act as conduits for the power.   The landmass of Nod'Morac is a sizable island continent, surrounded on all sides by ocean, with some islands surrounding the edges of the landmass. The north of the continent consists of a long, frozen coast, while the south consists of several arid grasslands, and a large, central desert. The most striking landmark, however, is the large freshwater lake in the middle of the continent, which serves as an inland sea, as well as the main source of trade for the inner continent.   I got the idea for this world by describing one of its civilizations, and then combining it with a couple other odd culture ideas to create a more concrete world. The general idea for it came from my interest in two things, a personal love for the smaller fantasy and sci-fi species, such as goblins, halflings, and gnomes, and an interest in making a fantasy world without the introduction of humans. This is the second of such worlds I have thought up, but this is the first I am attempting on my own.
