Witches and Wizards

The Witches and Wizards are the collective grouping of magic users in the world, primarily on Europe. While magic is a very loose term and many super humans may have abilities that can be classified as magic, the Witches and Wizards are define by all super humans that have a direct connection with the Magic Reality and can alter it in any way possible.

To first understand Magic is important to understand the Magic Reality, Magic seems like a force able to break and shift reality without any effort, in truth magic draws its strength from the Magic Reality a parallel plane where the user may connect with in the real world an create a phenomenon that can only be described as magic, in essence that may be the real power of the magic users, to be able to connect two points of both planes and mold the collision into something of their liking.   The Magic Reality by itself seems to be a plane of total chaos and disarray, nothing in the plane obey any law of physics, it seem to be made of pure energy and nothing else, this energy doesn't seem to take any order by itself, it doesn't form into light, mass or anything, just an endless pool of entropy like if another force would keep the energy in is pure form and stop it for ever turn it into something else.  

Magic

For the Witches and Wizards magic is define as the power to collide the two realities, the abilities to mold the collisions is the real challenge to the magic users, pretty much anything they can think of is possible, the only limitation is the potential of the individual, the more trained they are, the better they will be able to mold the collision of realities. In order to do this the magic users have essentially two way of doing it.
  • Somatic Magic: This refers to the magic the user must first create a pattern and make all entropy energy flow in that specific pattern, be it some simple hand gestures or diagrams in a piece of paper or in the air, this redirection of magic flow will give consistency to the entropy giving it a semblance of order and resulting ultimately on the casting of the spell.
  • Verbal Magic: Just as before, the magic user can also use their voice or any sound coming by themselves to redirect al the entropy energy in order to molded as their liking and casting the spell as a result.
 

Schools of Magic

While focusing in patterns results in the casting of a spell, focusing on the same patterns will cast the same spell again, under this principle the Witches and Wizards would understand that they could standardized their spells, categorizing it and studying it further. While in the past, when they were separated, each Witch or Wizard would study this patterns by themselves, once the Magic Societies began to build up, the Witches and Wizards began to share their knowledge and in turn build upon those foundations, several academies were established, some focusing in a specific type of magic, others studying more open fields, others trying to discovers new natures of the magic. This process generated the Schools of Magic, collective groups of spells sharing a key quality.   As of today, the established schools of Magic are:  
  • Illusions: The manipulation of light and sounds to create projections of light that are almost indistinguishable from real objects.
  • Transmutation: The permanent or temporal alteration of the non-entropy energy.
  • Conjuration: The temporary creation of matter in a specific form.
  • Cronomancy: The alteration of time and how it flows an behaves, i also involves the gravity.
  • Mysticism: The study of the mind, dreams, visions and events of the near future.
  • Luxomancy: The manipulation of light and energy.
  • Tenebrimancy: The control of void and condense matter, can create darkness and blackholes.
  • Imperiomancy: The control of the flow of energy such as heat on the ambient, it can create spels of fire and ice, thunder.
  • Naturamancy: The magic of complex component such as water, gases and soils.
There are also forbiden Schools of Magic that are considered crime to practice in all Magic Societies.
  • Necromancy: The magic that alters death beings and their spirits, souls and life essence, organic matter tends to naturally rejects any incursion of magic, that is why magic tends to be so damaging for then and thus is unable to heal them or to protect them, however, when it comes to death organic matter, there is a strangle collision of the Magic Reality and the real world that ends with unexpected results, this causes this magic to be so random and always having a different effect, when it does works, the result is the breaking of nature law, these practices are deemed illegal by The Council of Witches and Wizards of England.
  • Animomancy: Magic able to read and alter the minds of other beings, due to its intrusive nature and sinister interpretations, this School is banned and deemed illegal.
  • Arcaniun: Magic able to bend faith and reality altering in irreversible ways. This magic is said to be used by the Lady of the Night and the Old Sage themselves, While the knowledge of this magic is lost, several Witches and Wizards have study all their lives in order to finds and redefine this magic, however, the Council of Witches and Wizards of England had declared this search of this type of magic illegal.
  • Astomancy: The study of magic able to connect wit other planes of existence, while this school of magic is said to be a fallacy, some magic users still believe is possible, however, it was deem illegal due to the dangerous nature that involved over projecting the Magic Reality in the Human world.
 

Witches and Wizards

While the conception of magic user may provide imagination to more open terms such a sorcerer, enchanter, mage among others, the therms Witch and Wizard are use to effectively differentiate two groups of magic users.

The Witches are magic users that are able to control the flow of entropy energy with easy, so much that they can only control vast amounts of this energy resulting in the casting of spells of great magnitude with relative easy, however, this also means that these spells tend to be so overweeningly powerful they may break the boundaries of reality almost permanently causing severe collateral damage to the environment and everyone that is close including the witch themselves, for this, most witches decided to use a focal point, a wand made of an special wood that allows then to diminish the amount of energy that is used providing more control over the magic. Because of these, most witches don't even attempt to use magic without a wand.

In a way, the Wizards are the opposite to witches, instead of being able to control vast amount of energy they can instead only control small amounts of it. This however means they have a greater control over their power and can cast spells without the use of wands, however, they also have a more precise touch with the magic reality that they can focus the energy on objects, the Wizards had discovered that all things on the planet connect with the Magic Reality in some way and they can use that connection to facilitate their control over the energy.For this, they are able to use scepters and staffs made of various metals and woods, some may have gems on them or any special fluid like mercury or some kind of base. They can also use mundane objects and substances like soil, water, ashes and non living matter like feathers or bones. While their power is lesser in comparative, a Wizard that trains and studies the magic can become a powerful magic use over time, while in the case of Witches, they are tied to a similar power level all their lives.

Major Organizations

The High Houses

The most prestigious of the Witches and Wizards, all of these houses claim direct decent with some sort of mythical figure of the Magic World, these houses are the ones allowed one spot at The Council of Witches and Wizards of England. This houses defend their reputation with an iron fist and don't allow any disrespect or insult to their house and will go as far as to fight for reclaiming their prestige.   Each Society has a number of this High Houses which often times is not correlated to the population of that society, however, there are also the Higher Houses, the thirteen most prestigious houses, being one for each Major Societies in the World, they are seems as the higher ranking members of the social circles of the Magic World and hold total influence and power over everything that is below to then.

The Higher Houses are the elite among the elite, they are the houses with the biggest power and influence in the Magic World, they word is almost law and in a way it may as well be, since they also control great influence in the Council of Witches and Wizards of England. While some of these may be rivals, they tend to focus on their own prestige rather that the others.

The Courts of The Lady of the Night and the Old Sage

These organization were the preprocessed of the Council of Witches and Wizards of England, they act in a similar way trying to administrate all the magic societies of the Magic World, the Courts of The Lady would administrate the affairs of the Witches and the Courts of the Old Sage of the Wizards. Despite their similarities they were a more close group of elite members of the society, more so they were very reclusive, with each Court having a strong grip on one Magic Society, this resulted in these courts to be led by a elite class that prioritized their own interest than any other, this caused a growing discontent in many of the lower circles and ultimately led to the War of the Poisoned Heart which saw the disbandment of these organizations.

Purity of Blood, Purity of Spirit

What defines prestige among a society of people able to create their own wealth? A Witch may claim her little space in the Magic Reality and there build a monumental castle, fill it with exquisite furniture, paints, statues, create the most beatiful gardens, she may even create her own gold jewelry. Just like her, many more Witches and Wizards are able to mold the Magic Reality to their will and create their perfect idea of wealth and commodity, so the question remains, how does this society follows the prestige of others? how does a Witch know another Witch is more worthy of their attention, to their praise or to their interest? The answer is simple, Blood, the purity of it.

  For Witches and Wizards the blood lines is everything for them, in a society in which a member can supply their own needs with easy, money loses any value, the acquisition of wealth loses any purpose since every magic user can create their own wealth, for this the wealth and value each magic user has is define by their blood line. If a magic user is descendant of some mythical Witch or Wizard figure then that person will receives the prestige and praise of all other magic users, they will gain influence on their social circle and will acquired a semblance of power and wealth among its pears. This is how it works from the lowborn all the way up to the High Houses which they themselves claim to be descendant of the most ancient blood Lines.   Because of this, Witches and Wizards tend to be very strick in regards of which other magic users they talk to or surround with, if a high born is seems interacting with a low born is considered a big insult to both individuals and their respective houses, while these actions are not treated as a crime, it often times ends in the di-socialization of these members, their respective social circle will reject them and they will lost their prestige which effectively makes them less than low born, a some sort of second class citizen rejected by most of their society. While extreme, this social punishments are more severe in the higher social circles and not as outrageous in the low born ones.

Average Technological Level

Magic World

The biggest single achievement of the Witches and Wizards, when they discovered the Magic Reality they quickly began to discover ways to colonize this reality in order to find a place where they could escape the chase of the Witch Hunter, over the centuries they were able to control portions of this infinite sea of entropy until finally giving it a definite form that would stay perpetual for the most part, this colonization was done around the world by the various Magic Societies and the moment, when they could create a zone big enough for all of them they would migrate to the Magic Reality all together but they still need an anchor point to in the human world to not lost themselves on the infinite sea of entropy and also to protect the entrance from any unwanted incursion.   Now, over centuries of building and change, the Magic World is a complication of different small pocket dimension, each holding a big portion of Witches and Wizards in communities called Magic Societies, while each Magic Society is rather independent on itself, these communities are very interconnected, they still need to travel to the human world in order to travel to another of these Magic Societies for the sea of entropy is so comprehensible big that is impossible to find anything outside the ordered domains of one of these cities.  

Crow's Eye Tree

According to the legends, after the Old Sage had taught all his twelve disciples all his knowledge, he would leave this land and be buried in the tallest mountain of the world, from his grave a white leave less tree would grow and several Ravens would pose on it, the ravens would petrified and only their eyes would remain, this eyes would become the seeds of new trees and the Wizards used these seeds as pats of their spells and rituals, they would also plant one of these trees and take care for it themselves.   Over centuries of studies, it was discovered this tree had a direct connection to the Magic Reality, more than any other material on earth and Witches discovered they could used this material to focus their power easily, today this tree is integral part of the Magic Societies and its wood is used in big quantities for Witches and Wizards.  

Wands and Scepters

The characteristic traits of the Witches and Wizards, they are tools that facilitate the control of the energy of the Magic Reality and make it more easy for the mage to bend reality ultimately casting spells. While their primary material is Crow's Eye Wood, some variations may be made of different woods mixing ashes and rings of Crow's Eye Woods to make the tool capable of casting magic without breaking, in the case of Scepters, they may even have metal rings and Gems encrusted on then, all this to facilitate the process of casting magic, however this also heavily limits what type of magic the scepter can cast since gems and metals follow a strick pattern and this also make the patterns of entropy energy to follow such patterns

   

Gems and Metals

While casting a Witch or Wizard would make the entropy energy to flow in a certain direction, if the caster makes sly errors or adjustments to the process it may end with the casting of a slightly different spell or a completely different one all together, since all objects on the planet can connect to the Magic Reality, Witches and Wizards discovered that gems and metals always followed the same patterns, meaning that they could use this items as conduits to cast spells easily, the purest the gems and metal the more precises the patterns and in turn the more precise the spells. They would study this elements and correlate then to the type of spells they could cast, for example, Emeralds tend to focus on Spells altering soil, while Rubies can control the heat of a spell easily.   These incredible tools also meant a powerful weakness for the Witches and Wizards for once their enemies, the Crusaders and later the Witch Hunters discovered this, they were able to use this items in order to nullify the spells of the magic users.  

Catalysts

While Witches are comfortable using gems and metals and wands in order to focus their powers and cast spells easily, the subtle and precise touch of the Wizards with the Magic Reality allows then to focus on minor scales, this mean that although not in power, the Wizards spells tend to have much more inner workings complexities and thus, they are able to cast a multitude of different spells, this is also thanks to the use of catalysts, any material or component that the Wizard can use to cast a spell, it may be as simple as soil and as complex as any powder, over the centuries, Wizards have developed a whole field in the studly of catalysts and have categorize the best catalysts for each type of spell.

History

The Ancient Mages (5000BC)

It is uncertain where does the ability of humans to use magic comes from, some theories are in the air but not solid proof has given a consistent explanation, for the Witches and Wizards of the Magic Reality their version of their origins states that The history of the very first magic users can go as far as the birth of civilizations, even further beyond the recorded history, in the ancient Egypt the magic users were able to alter reality at their will, they usually changed their own bodies by mixing them with other animals, although all these is speculations and the legends may be an over exaggeration, they were possibly the very first magic users to ever exist. It is believed they may have influence the belief of the Ancient Egyptians.  

The Land of Myths (1000BC-300AC)

After that, the concept of magic became blurry, no real correlation between the many interpretation of gods and demigod roaming the land would have a link to the magic, while some cultures may adopt a figure to have such capabilities, such as the goddess Circe in Ancient Greece for the most case, the power to bend reality of have extraordinary powers was attributed to a god or a similar entity. Everything would change however, with the Christianization of the Roman Empire.  

The born of Magic (300AC-1000AC)

In the Dark Age of Europe, Christianization had transform the minds of the people, suddenly, anything that was not in line with the christian God was deemed as demonic and thus something that was meant to be feared, hated and ultimately destroyed, After this events the terms of Witchery and Sorcery began to grow more in the population and the Magic users of this era enjoyed a relatively free moment to pursuit the nature of their powers, in some cases like the legendary Wizard Merlin, he was part on the building of one of the greatest Kingdoms of the British Isles, in Europe, specially in Central and Eastern Europe, hags, witches and sorcerers would spread across the dense and mythical forest of the area, in many cases living like hermits refusing any contact with other humans only receiving sporadic visits from time from despaired humans looking for help. Due to their nature, they quickly became feared and in many cases uncomprehended. Conflict was common but their powers allow them to scare and defeat any incursion with easy.  

The Holy Cleansing (1000AC-1400AC)

The Witches and Wizards became symbols of paganism, the devil and the unholy, anything that was not in line with the sacred text and oppose a threat to the man would be need to the purge from the land, The Crusaders had grown as an Organization and they oppose their first ever threat to the Magic Users, during this era the Witches and Wizards and all form of unholy creature were severely chased and exterminated across all of Europe, many Witches and Wizards could only hide among the human societies and hide their powers, but ultimately their true nature would be revealed some way or another and the results would be often times bloody.   In this period many of this magic users began to cooperate between each other, while in the past they rather stay ways of everything, now facing mortal danger they developed secret codes in order to communicate, small societies of this individuals grew among the population, sometimes reaching high ranks among the nobility. Although it was effective it was not a hundred percent secure, the methods implement by the Crusaders in order to track and find magic users would grow ever more and everything turned in a never ending mortal game of cat and mouse.  

The Cunning, the Clever, The Magic Reality (1400AC-1600AC)

While it seems like the Crusader were having a grasp on the hunt of everything unholy, the magic users also prepare themselves, the discovery of the Magic Reality changed everything. Over the centuries they have been just using their powers as they see fits, trying to find new ways to create more spells, but in general they never tried to study closely their own nature, now that they were living in groups, they began to explore these aspects of their power and the result was the discovery of the Magic Reality.   A parallel universe full of strange energy that they could mold with easy, they quickly realize they could create a little pocket dimension in between the two planes and have a safe place to live in. Thanks to the discovery the magic users could now gather around this places to live safely, this allow their societies to grow very quickly and became more organize, while they were still spread across all o Europe, they began to communicate with each other and make connections, the first pacts, covens, houses, and circles were born.  

The courts of the Night Lady and the Old Sage (1600AC-1800AC)

This was a period of exponential grow of the magic users, their pockets of dimension grew form a small place that could only fit a house to massive open spaces they were able to bend, imitating the outer world, albeit with their own surreal touch, Nocturna was probably the biggest and mos prosperous city of this time, a city in the Magic Reality full of Witches with a eternal black sky and streets that went up and dow, lakes that ran in all direction, the city could be acceded only through London.   By this time they have already define themselves as Witches and Wizards, they separated between these two groups called The Courts of the Lady of hte Night for Witches and the Courts of the Old Sage for the Wizards. They would cooperate with each other, they would follow different paths and goals. New societies were established, from the settlers on America, to India and other parts of the world, more cities in the Magic Reality would be established and a semblance of Magic World would be define. Although this era was prosperous it was not meet with peace due to the contrast incursions of the Crusaders that always seemed to find a way to threaten them.  

War of the Poisoned Heart (1800AC)

While the societies of the Witches and Wizards seems to be prosperous, that was in reality a mere illusion given by the constant unpleasant sentiment many of the magic users were having, the Courts were rules primarily by elite class that focused primarily on their survival and the acquisition of more power, resulting in many conflicts that led to small civil wars on some societies. While this was common at the time, the conflict escalated to unprecedented highs when a two factions in the city of Nocturna entered into direct conflict, The House of the Poisoned Heart were a prominent rising house in the ranking of power of the Courts, the rise to power was not in line with the interest of other high houses which decided to try the Poised Heart house, this attempt however backfire horribly, the Poisoned Heart House played a masterfully game of shadows behind everyone else rising ultimately as one of the most powerful houses of Nocturna, however this success would last shortly, months after rising to power, Xebhel Poisoned Heart, the head of the house was assassinated on her own domains and the investigations did not pointed to any suspect, the outrage of the Courts were palpable, the growing discontent with the elite classes reached an all time high and massive conflict was inevitable.   The war would start at Nocturna and escalate into the other societies quickly, Witches were paired against other Witches, Wizards fought Wizards and new factions grew in the ongoing chaos, many small societies would be crushed as an attempt of the elite classes in order to crush the morale of the lower ones, this proved the opposite, in the middle of the everything a new faction would enter into play, The Tower of the Three Mages, followers of the Mythical mages, Gaspard, Baltazar and Melchor, they would interfere to restore the balance of the Magic Reality, they were a cult of mages of the middle east that had hidden from society due to their persecution, they were Wizards with unique knowledge of the Magic Reality that would given then an insight of the catastrophe that was about to be unleashed due to his massive conflict.   After about ten years of constant war, the war ended with a death told of about 2 million Witches and Wizards, dozens of high houses been destroyed, deposed or exile, The starters of this war, The Poisoned Heart House were ultimately destroyed and the Two Courts being disbanded. The Tower of the Three Mages would act in order to ensure a peaceful agreement would be deal with both sides and thus, The Council of Witches and Wizards of England would be born, they would administrate the magic world and make sure any conflict like that would never happen again.  

The Magic World (1800AC-1945AC)

With the an end to the war and the disbandment of the Crusaders, the Witches and Wizards saw themselves in a new era of peace, grow and prosperity, for the most part, while their societies became more connected than ever, the remaining societies that survived the war became rater stagnant, they would become a society more lose on their relations, much of the power had been decentralized and now Witches and Wizards began to live together, they would find a rather stable place in which the high houses would administrate their societies in order to make then as functional as possible, the power would be shared, for the most part and the Council would only act to ensure no conflict sparks ever again.   This tranquility was only broken in two occasion, when the outer world entered into conflict in the first and second world war.  

Status as Guarded Nation (1945AC-Present)

With the founding of the League of Heroes, the Council quickly approached them to be part of their society, in order to receive support for the ever growing incursions of the Witch Hunters, this grant the council to focus on their own internal affairs while relegating the exterior ones to other authorities. Today, all Witches and Wizards are now forbidden to leave the Magic Reality and if they are needed to get into the Human world, they are forbidden to use their Magic, this in order to guarantee a civil relationship between the Council and the League.

Witches

  • Agamede: A Witch that lived in Ancient Greece that had compassion for men and would sometime try to help then.
  • Agatha Southeil:Very little is known of this outcast witch, the only details that are available is that she got pregnant out-of-wedlock and was treated as an outcast by the villagers. In order to save herself from persecution, she fled to the caves and gave birth to a deformed child who would later become the well-known witch Mother Shipton.
  • Baba Yaga: Known for being a hag that lived in Eater Europe, she would terrorize the population and kidnap people, specially children to practice her dark arts.
  • Circe: A mysterious Witch that live in the Ancient Greece that transformed men into various animals for her own amusement.
  • Dayan: A Witch that lived in the Indian subcontinent and had several encounter with the Indian Gods.
  • Drude: A Mysterious Witch that dwindled in the south of Germany around the 16th century.
  • Huld: An old Scandinavian With of the Iron age that user her power to see into the future.
  • Hecate: Considered as Witch for the Witches and a God for the Greeks, she was the Goddess of cross roads witchcraft and necromancy.
  • Medea: Said to be a close relative to Circe, was in many ways her opposite, she would help mythical heroes on their journeys.
  • Morgan le Fay: A Witch of good nature that was present on the Arthurian legends.
  • Mother Shipton: Known as England's Great Prophetess, Mother Shipton was born in Knaresborough, a deformed personality who was subjected to humiliation and persecution, but later honored because of her accurate predictions of lifetime events
  • Muma Pădurii: An Old hag that lived in south east Europe, she was a fierce protector of the nature and hater of mankind.
  • Nine sorceresses: A group of Nine Witches that held influence in various cultures around the Europe, specially the British Isles predating the Arthurian Legends.
  • Sebile: One of the oldest Witches, it is believe she lived for about five hundred years and in that time, she would to travel in Europe and having part in important events.
  • Sorginak: A witch that lived in the Iberian Peninsula, she would use her power to create powerful storms.
  • Three Witches: A group of Witches that learned the mysterious art of controlling fate, it is said they became immortal and would influence the bigger historical events of the world until eventually fading out of existence, some Witches believed they are still alive and still moving the strings of fate without the knowledge of anyone.
  • Witch of Endor: A practitioner of Necromancy that lived in the middle east near the time of Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt.

Wizards

  • Abramelin the Mage: He is known to be a semi-mythical sage/magician from Egypt.
  • Abaris the Hyperborean: A legendary priest, healer and sorcerer of the Greek God Apollo.
  • Cornelius Agrippa: He is known as an occult writer, alchemist, astrologer, and theologian, Cornelius was born in 1486, in Cologne, Germany. During his tenure as a spy for the holy Roman Emperor. After his death, his book 'Fourth Book Of Agrippa' became very famous on how to avoid witch hunters.
  • Elymas: A Wizard that interacted with the apostles of the Israeli faith.
  • Ímar Ua Donnubáin: A petty king of the Scandinavian conquered Ireland, she would be presumed to be a practicer of Necromancy.
  • Johann Weyer: Well-known physician, occultist, and demonolgist, Johann was born in Grave, a small town in Dutchy of Brabant, around 1515. In 1529, he became the live-in student of the German occultist Cornelius Agrippa and mastered the study of occult from him. He bravely criticized the witch hunts and the executions of that time.
  • John of Nottingham: A Wizard living on Medieval England, said to try to kill important historical figures.
  • Menander: Leader of the Simonias in the time of the Roman Empire.
  • Merlin: A powerful Wizard who helped in the establishment of one fo the most glorious kingdoms of the British Isles.
  • Simon Magus: A Wizard who had the power to levitate and travel. He lived in Sebaste in Samaria.

Common Myths and Legends

While not being entirely religions themselves, each Witch and Wizard wears with pride the symbols of their blood line descendants and in many ways praising such symbols and figures as deities. While there are several mythical figures, there is also and undeniable belief that all Witches are descendant from a ancient goddess and all Wizards from and ancient God.  

Lady of the Night

She is the force that grant men the gift to bend the world at their will in exchange she would demand for those men to obey her and everyone that would to forget her would lost its soul, forever cast into the eternity of her veil of darkness. While not entirely a benevolent deity, the Lady of the Night is the common patron of all Witches, it is believe she was the first ever Witch and roamed the land seducing many men and would be the mother of countless daughters, all of which will grow to become powerful Witches.  

 

The Old Sage

While presumably not being and entity as old as The Lady of the Night, The Old Sage is presumed to be a mysterious figure that lived for a thousand years and offered wisdom and knowledge to the men that roamed the land, it is said that at one point he accepted twelve disciples to which he would teach them a portion of his knowledge and when he was done he decided to leave this land and let his disciples to carry on his knowledge and wisdom.   He would transform into the first Eye Crow Tree and his disciples would use the fruits of these three and its branches to craft the firsts scepters.

The Ancient Blood Lines

There multiples blood lines that are said to be descendant of either the Children of the Lady of the Night of any disciple or the Twelve apprentices of the Old Sage, however, over time many of these blood lines where either lost, forgotten or vanished for various reasons, today there are a total of nine blood lines that are estimated came from the Major Deities, the name of many of these descendants are now forgotten and the closest names left are rough translations from ancient texts and teachings.
  • Vilethorn(Rose): One of the firsts daughter of the Lady of the Night, her name was lost in history but her actions to spread as much misery on mankind will forever be a distinctive part of her..
  • Matala(Butterfly): The first of this blood line was a hag that roamed the mysterious forest of centra Europe, she would change its form to be either the most beautiful woman of the most horrible of monstrosities and chased men to devour them.
  • Umbra(Moon): The daughter of the Lady of the Night that he loved and cared the most, she would appear on the land of man each time an eclipse forme and will unleash terrible curses on the land.
  • Plague(Skull): A Daughter of the Lady of the Night obsess with the decay and death, it is said she would sacrifice herself to unleash to most devastating curse that would roam in the land of men, the Black Death.
  • Svarog(Pentagram): The most recent blood line, this was a blood line born out of the union of a Witch and a Wizard, after this witches were able to gave birth to male witches and also Wizards would changes their teaching tenets to teach woman as well.
  • Dreamlord(Star): One of the Disciples of the Old Sage is said to learn the knowledge to see the future in dreams, to read the stars and seem the upcoming events.
  • Neto(Cat): A disciple that followed the darkest arts of magic discovering its most sinister secrets. It is said he would become achieve immortality and would hide in the deeps of earth to be alone in the eternity.
  • Empty Heart(Heart): One apprentice that followed the discovery of the mind and in the process discovered the manipulation of fears and emotions.
  • BlackMoon(Moon): A traveler apprentice that discovered many places in a time where the words was still unknown, it is said this apprentice left a mark on all the places he went and only wizards are able to see such mark.
 

The Unknown Blood Lines

While the Magic World expanded over the centuries and Witches and Wizards began to meet new magic users, they quickly discovered new ancient deities that could either be related to their major Gods or decedents of them, such was the case of the Djins from the Middle East, the Shamans from Africa or the mysterious Monks from Asia. While some of these newly found Magic users were able to integrate into their society, they quickly became second class citizens and their estimated blood lines were threaten as inferior and non worthy of the interest of the higher circles of the Magic Societies.   While many lowborn of today can claim one of these forgotten royal blood lines in their acenstry, almost none of the High Houses of the different Magic Societies claims any of these.
