Welcome to a world of lost civilizations, dead gods and ancient evil. Nix is a world that has seen great cultures rise and fall, many times over and now in this age the populace has forgotten much of its past.   The great cities remain, but the nations that they ruled have long fallen into dust, ruins dot the landscape and monsters run rampant in the wild places, the seas are in perpetual turmoil and only coastal ships are safe. Those wishing to travel futher rely on the great Ether Ships, but those are far more expensive than most can afford passage on.   Containing the last remants of civilization the Great Cities are vast spralling affairs, with many satalite settlements that support them. No longer do the ancient nations stand and all races live along side each other, in the streets you will find human, elf, centaur, minotaur, shifter and more going about their lives with out notice for those around them.   The Cities are ruled by various factions or noble houses, most of which rise and fall on a regular basis, religion is split between various cults, and the only two remainng gods - Pelor and Vecna, though the last is seldom worshipped by sane people.   This is a savage world once you leave the saftey of the cities, death comes quickly for the unwary, but the heroic kind can often make their fortune and find great power in the world outside, but be warn power here is a dangerous thing, for it corrupts those with weak wills.
