Gemtstones

Burner-Grade Gemstones (Around 10gp): These gemstones are the cheapest and most rudimentary of the gemstones. They are common and cheap, this is reflected in their power and lifetime, these gemstones are often used in "Burner-Cores". Burner Cores are very simple cores, that use gemstones that can't be recharged. The gemstones in these cores are one use only and have to be replaced when used. The core itself is not different from other cores, it's only the gemstone that differs from the rechargeable cores, although most burner cores use cheap low-quality shells as well.

Low-Grade Gemstones (Around 50gp): These gemstones are the cheapest rechargeable gemstones. They can be recharged once but does not pack that much more power than the burner cores. The only real difference other than the rechargeability is the lifetime. These gemstones, though still brittle, can last a fair bit longer than burner cores. Although if you chose to use this core in more power demanding Magi-Tech, it will run dry very quickly. One would often find these gems in cores that power lighting or cooling in a high-end tavern or maybe power a sign on a facade. Those who would try and jam these inside a Core-Weapon or some Core-Armor, will often find out first-hand, how volatile these cores can be if not used correctly.

Medium-Grade Gemstones (Around 100gp): These gemstones begin to pack some power. They are often used in rudimentary Core-Weapons and Core-Armor, like daggers, shortswords and short bows, though they generally can't handle longswords or anything bigger. They are reasonably hardy and can sustain 2 recharges, and have an average lifetime. They are a little harder to come by outside the cities, where you would often find limited stock.

High-Grade Gemstones (Around 500gp): Now we are getting there. This is where the magic happens and you feel the knockback. These gemstones are considered High-grade and for good reason. These gemstones can power most Magi-Tech including Core-Weapons and Core-Armor, there might be some weapons and armor too powerful to be powered by these, but if you are in possession of such equipment you are a seasoned adventurer or a rich nobleman. These cores are way above what one might see being used by normal mundane people, if you are using these cores, you are somebody. These can be recharged 3 times and are considered powerful. Thes are rare and are not sold in small shops in your local town. If you are in the city, you could probably find one of these gems, if you are willing to pay. But since these are highly sought-after by seasoned adventurers they sell out very quickly. If one was wielding Core-Firearms, this would be the gemstone to use in your core.

These are very rare, and acquiring these would most times mean that danger was involved. These are seldom for sale, and when they are, they are bought by the richest people around, as a show of power and status, or the most powerful adventurers. These Can power more or less everything, Core-Weapons, Core-Armor or other high-powered Magi-Tech, it does not matter, these can handle it. They can recharge 3 times.

These gemstones behave a lot like Arcane Crystals, and are therefore considdered very powerfull, though they lack the infinity lifetime that the Arcane Crystals have. They do not have a set amount of times they can be recharged, but are instead categorised into tiers, based on rechargability. The lowest Tier is Tier III (3 Recharges) and the highest known Tier is Tier X. Tier X Crystal-Grade gemstones can be recharged 10 times, but are ultra rare, and are so expensive that only a few individuals in Nivost can afford them.
