Eastern Calbria

Located in the eastern hemisphere of Nivamor, this wing of the empire of Calbria is differentiated from Western Calbria through the preposition tittle of "Eastern". Thus resulting in the birth of Eastern Calbria.

The Chart of Rights

During the rule of Jevaltar Terralt II nd. The continents of Calbria entered what is known as The civil war of Rights. The arising conflict took hold of both continents, and as a result so did The Chart of Rights.. In order to satisfy the requirements of The Silver Tribes  and to further enable the empire to better control the different regions, in regards to laws, regulations and etc, the prepositions of "Western" and "Eastern" were added.

Importance

After a peaceful rise to power within the continent of Western Calbria, the then self proclaimed king Zagos Terralt the I st. set his focus upon the neighbouring continent, which we know as Eastern Calbria. Compared to their counterpart in Western Calbria, the tribes of Eastern Calbria weren't fond of the idea of uniting under a foreign leader. Rather than that they united in order to protect themselves against the newly arisen, then kingdom, of Calbria. This led to a series of campaigns being launched by Zagos in an attempt to thin out the resisting forces and convert the rest of the population towards the idea of unification of continents. Following these campaigns, Zagos sailed across the Middalan Sea and landed at, what is known today as the trading capital of Eastern Calbria, Levatal. After securing the city, and establishing his grip in the area, Zagos proceeded to conquer the rest of the continent, thus establishing not only the continent of Eastern Calbria but also the empire of Calbria. Due to its violent past, Eastern Calbria has been viewed predominantly in a negative light. This has also led to a lack of interest from The royal house of Terralt. and therefore also lack of investment in this part of the empire. While being rich in natural resources, they are largely unexplored. Eastern Calbria does hold the title as second most import territory for the empire, but in reality, it is argued that it is the weak spot of the empire, as it is prone to conflict through rebellion.

Climate

The continent of Eastern Calbria naturally has four seasons. However, the climate is namely separated into two main seasons due to their nature. These two seasons are the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season includes autumn and a rather snowless winter. This period of the year often sees no rain and takes extensive preparation in order to survive it. The rainy season includes spring and summer. This period of the year, on the other hand, sees a lot of rain and flooding of low lands areas where lakes form. Each season lasts for approximately 6 months, thus creating the full yearly cycle. When the rainy season changes into the dry season, for a few weeks, there is a moment of peace which is called the godly weeks. During that time all major preparations for the dry season are done. Some also hold a celebration, in order to thank the earth and their own gods for the chance at life given. During the first three months of the dry season, the heat reaches its extreme, but towards the switch to the second trimester, the cold takes hold, reaching its extreme in the middle of the first three months of the rainy season. Right before the switch into the rainy season another celebration is held, begging for the land and the gods to be merciful and bring back the life in the land. Thus it is believed that the following cold high is the rest of the dry season being rushed away.

Demography

Religion

Religion is equally as diverse within Eastern Calbria, as it is in Western Calbira. On its offshore islands, the continent holds The Silver Tribes with their own separate pantheons and beliefs. However, the main religions remain The worshipers of The Depths, Baldzarion and last, but not least, Nash'slunce. The largest religious following within Eastern Calbria is that of Baldzarion. It is historically followed by Nash'slunce, while the worshipers of The Depths have had minimal hold within the continent. It is argued that Herajar Terralt IInd. converted from the worshipers of The Depths to Baldzarion and later Nash'slunce once he escaped to Eastern Calbria. His love and investment in the continent and following of the religions, after ages of dispute, hate and ignorance from The royal house of Terralt., made him a sanctified figure.

Language

There is a wide variety of languages spoken within the borders of Calbria. However, across both continents, there are three officially recognized languages. Calbrian is the first official language of the empire and is separated into two. These are firstly High Calbrian which is predominantly spoken within the larger settlements. Secondly, there is Low Calbrian which can be considered the common language and is spoken everywhere else outside the larger settlements. The second official language is Galgalanos which is the language declared universal for The Silver Tribes  . This is due to the fact that there are 87 small tribes located in the offshore colonies within Eastern Calbria, and each speaks their own language. The last officially recognized language is universal for almost all of Nivamor, that is Vodarárior which is the universal language spoken by foreigners when travelling to other continents and lands. This language was declared an essential part of any empire, due to the size of Nivamor and number of lands and peoples within its hold.

Immigration

The whole of Calbria is settled predominantly by immigrants arriving from foreign lands. The natives of The continents of Calbria were diminished in numbers after the rule of Jevaltar Terralt II nd. and later relocated to the offshore islands of Eastern Calbria. After their relocation, they were also rebranded as The Silver Tribes  and banned from excessive breeding. This factor combined with the constant influx of foreigners, merchants, pirates and so forth, created for a very large and diverse population, with continuously alternating numbers.
