After moving the bulk of their army towards Terios while leaving behind territories for which the war was started, the Magi Covenant laid siege to the city of Savi. After only a few days the city was taken. The commanding general for this part of the army decided to sack the city and kill almost it's entire population, an act which would later be labelled a war crime.

The commanding general for this part of the army decided to sack the city and kill almost it's entire population, an act which would later be labelled a war crime. The reason for this genocide is still unknown since the commanding general went missing as did several of his officers at the end of the war. Although the most expected reason is revenge for the loss of the battle of Marelia other possibilities can't be ruled out. The act would prove to a big miscalculation as this resulted in Kevarim joing the war and Aldhir leaving the Magi Covenant.
