Worldember 2021 Pledge

I pledge to write at least 10,000 words of worldbuilding during December.

Last year I made it to 50,000 words but it was difficult to create decent content near the end so this year I will start low and see how far I can go. Also during the last months I have had very limited time due to wedding and moving and I anticipate that lasting a bit longer.

Goals

For Summer Camp I have focused mainly on a single region of my world and tried to fit the prompts into it. During Worldember I want to take another approach and get to write about the broader articles of my world, such as species and continents.

Freeing Dragons and battles with airships all in one adventure

First war between the Raitin and Pavan which was the first with advanced weapons.

Elite soldiers that use the energy of souls. They only become better as the become older.

Largest library in the world controlled by a Dragon.

An important mushroom that is used to fuel the developing industrial age

The largest collection of information gathered into a series of books.

The nebula where all the celestial and elemental realms are found but also the Primal Chaos

The flying capital of the Raitin.

This map shows the world of Niorath and its various biomes and nations. The north and south pole areas are still rather unexplored because they are frequently covered in ice. Various species live there but they have not played any major role in the history of the planet. The other continents are much more populated and have seen their fair share of changing occupants.

Some areas of the world are quite different from the normal natural biomes. These are chaos areas, region affected by the dangerous Chaos Tempests who can corrupt the land beyond recognition. Many of these are the result of forbidden magic going very wrong and have often meant the end of the empires that performed the related rituals.

Community

Now that my busy period is coming to an end I hope to once again be more active in the community and read more articles created during worldember :) If there is anything you want read feel free to contact me on discord.

Discord and Board

I have already created a discord channel for my world for some time now but have not done a lot with it yet. I will try to improve it a bit further. If I find the time I would also like to get more involved with getting discussion boards going.
