Pirates have existed for quite some time in the world of Niorath. As for airship pirates, however, Saiki Boltwing was the first. Before she took on the pirate life she worked for the Raitin army. But her fame truly began when she stole one of their airships and took off to the skies.

Personal Life

Early Life

Amelia was born to a well off family in the country of Eprus. Since early one she was annoyed by the basic education that her private tutor was giving her. Over time she had read so many books from her family's library that many tutors were not able to teach her anything new. This changed when her parents got hired a teacher from The Keepers. Finally she could get some new knowledge that was not known to the average person!
After several years she was encouraged by her teacher, Alker Invin, to attend a university. Due to her great potential he even recommended her to the greatest of the universities, the Keepers University and Library.

Relationships

Since she never knew her father, her only parental figure was her mother. As far as common knowledge goes she had no bad relationship with her mother or her three brothers but not much is known about them.
The people she has the largest connection with is her crew. Many of them were just like her people coming from poor families looking to better their lives in the army, only to realise that it was not as glorious as thought.
As far as common knowledge goes she is not believed to have dated any of her crew members. She mostly found here fun in the cities that they made stops at.

Personality

Saiki is an expert liar and a charismatic person. Many people don't know they made a bad deal until long after Saiki has left them behind. She seems to be very skilled in talking her way out of nasty situations with guards as well.
From the few accounts on her personality it has become known that she is quick to anger, especially about things she does not tolerate. The best example of this is that she despises the way the Raitin treat their Dragons. Her airship does therefore not have any trapped Dragons, only those who stay willingly. Since she treats them well they seem to have had no reason to leave so far.

Personal History

Time in the Army

When Saiki was part of the Raitin army she was quickly added as a crewmember on an airship. She was ecstatic in the beginning after dreaming so long of flying. Over time her mood changes, however. Some of the practices of the Raitin were not really ok in her opinion. Many of the others on the ship she was stationed on thought the same. The mistreatment of Dragons and non-Raitin Humanoids was too severe for some.
Over time she befriended the Dragons of the ship by coming down to talk and giving them some spare food. She promised to set them free at an opportune time when she would be able to take control of the ship.
When the airship was sent on a mission to the Mizarin Isles to attack the Nekorians an opportunity presented itself. While many of the Raitin ships were destroyed by the Mizarin Nightlights, she and other like mined crew members were able to take control of the ship. They flew far away from the battle which marked the start of their pirating life.

The Pirate Life

As they were the only pirates in possession of an airship the group rose in infamy and succes pretty fast. Not shortly after adopting here new lifestyle, Saiki was given a new name. Once she got her hands on an advanced fighting suit with wing attachments she was able to fly herself and shoots lightning from her wings, giving her the name 'Boltwing'
At first she and her crew mainly attacked Raitin vessels. Once they collected their loot they would free any dragons aboard the captured vessels. When Saiki became the target of bountyhunters more often she and her crew decided to move their operations elsewhere.
It is not know what her base of operations is located. But the Thunderstrike has been seen near the Mizarin Isles, the Northern Oneraga regions, Elervir Isles and even northern eastern Avaka'am.
