Archon

Archon is without doubt one of the most influential and important Humans in history. According to myth he gained of vision from the god Indovir, asking him to rid the world of the Mackevism religion. Indovir told him that the religion that Mackevor, the founder of the Avaronian Empire, had started had become tainted. It would be up to him to defeat the Avaronians and restore the faith on its correct path which eventually lead to the Archonism religion.
It is thanks to him that the Pavan colonies of the Avaronian Empire gained independence. He created the beginnings of the Pavan Empire and set the stage for the eventual downfall of the Avaronians.

Personal Life

Early Life

Archon himself was not one of the slaves in the Pavan colonies unlike many other Humans. His father was a Half-Elf merchant and his mother a freed Human. This did not give him any high standing as both Half-Elves and free Humans were only slightly higher in status than slaves. Nonetheless, as the son of a merchant he did not live in poor conditions and could still have a basic education.
Regardless of his decent life he was still unable to reach some positions that were available only to High-Elves. At some point he was, however, able to get a supervisor position for the mining operations in Istaria, along the eastern border. It was here that Archon would receive a vision of his god Indovir.
Like many Human supervisors he was kind to those beneath him, treating them like regular workers in contrast to the High-Elf slave method. Istaria was not deemed important enough for expansive management by Elves so they didn't mind to let Humans run to show as long as there were results.
During one of his visits to the mines he ended up in a lower cave system when a bridge collapsed. Being so deep underground with a broken leg and no way to quickly save him he would normally have died. But instead he found an artifact which allowed him to contact Indovir and receive his visions. The next day he came back to the surface, fully healed and a new purpose.

Relationships

Due to his longer lifespan than most Humans, Archon has seen many people come and go. That is also why he had several wives and many children from the various marriages. The current Pavan Emperors are believed to be descendants of the first marriage. However there have been many Pavan nations before the unifications that claimed to be descendants from the other marriages as well.

Personal History

Start of the Rebellion

Together with the artifact connection Archon to Indovir, he found something else, a gigantic amount of Divine Falls. It allowed him to start teaching people Divin magic in secret. When a border conflict between the Avaronians and the Human Clans to the east was about to break out, Archon saw his chance. Led by Archon the magic using rebels were able to conquer Istaria and kill all High Elf mage rulers. This event would become the start of a long conflict for independence.

Archon Alliance

In 223 BF the first version of the Pavan Empire was founded by Archon. In reality this was more of an alliance between several regions known as the Archon Alliance. What we now know as the Atriem region was actually the only area that Archon controlled directly. He started to solidify his position in Pavanor and worked together with the other nations to build strong defences in case the Avaronians would try to take their territory back. This moment, however, never came and Archon dreamed of expanding even further.
Thanks to the renewed armies of the Archon Alliance the dream of conquering the last Avaronian strongholds in Pavanor became ever closer. But before he could see his own plans to in pratice Archon died. His grandson would be the one to take up the leadership of the Archon Alliance and would continue his grandfather's plans.
