Camelia "Quill" Flores
Surface Info:
Physical description: Quill is a black teenager with green eyes, black coily hair she keeps in a pineapple, and a marked hourglass body shape. She often wears a short red double-breasted trench coat over black jeans, paired with a practical pair of shoes; when conditions make this impractical, she often has to choose between over- and underdressing due to her large bust size (fortunately bras aren’t a problem). She is somewhat on the taller side within her friend group, but she’s not unusually tall. Vocal Traits: Quill has little to no tolerance for bullshit, and does not suffer fools lightly. She has a tendency to emphasize the “Brutal” part of brutal honesty, although she tries to avoid doing this unless the situation truly merits it. When she’s annoyed, she displays a sardonic wit; when she’s angry (for whatever reason), she’s more blunt than a hammer. Otherwise, she’s not particularly notable. Tics: She often shoplifts, then on her way out “tips” the cashier the full price of the item. At the beginning of the story, she vapes. Communication Style: Quill is a very assertive communicator, and sometimes crosses the line into aggressive communication. She generally calls a spade a spade. Overview: Unlike some people, Quill never subscribed to the notion that women are supposed to follow a different set of standards: She’s never afraid to speak her mind, and one of the easiest ways to annoy her is when anyone assumes things about her or treats her differently than others (whether this benefits her or not). Quill is rough and boisterous around her friends, often making vulgar jokes and jokingly teasing people; around strangers, she puts on a façade of stoicism and “coolness”. No matter where she is or what she’s doing, Quill’s rebellious streak is one of the first things you’ll notice: she doesn’t let rules go unquestioned, and can often be found evading someone she’s on the bad side of. Above all else, she is passionately concerned that others be treated with dignity, fairness, and justice. Backstory (Major events):
Quill hasn’t heard from her father since ~6th grade, which she’s assumed is because he “left for a pack of cigarettes” or something similar; As a result she became somewhat cynical (in comparison to others her age). She’d met Deus online prior to this, and began getting closer around this time. A few months into 8th grade, she realized that Frisk was, in fact, homeless, and helped him (becoming friends/introducing him to nerdom in the process). This eventually led to her realizing Deus had transferred to her high school around 9th grade when Frisk met him at his nerd shop. After convincing her uncle to help Deus get formally adopted, the group (along with Quill’s other friends) pretty much cruised through the next few years until one fateful night near the end of Junior year…
Backstory (Minor incidents):
- In sophomore year, she entered her history classroom if and only if there was a test. This included pop quizzes, to the bewilderment of the teacher. She got an A-.
- In freshman year, she (on the first day of health class) stood up and tried to correct another student’s false sex knowledge. The teacher (who had arrived late) was amused by her faulty explanation and offered his phone number so she could ask him about sexual stuff freely. Later, in Sophmore year, after Quill was told to put her finger back up when her story about how she fucked someone exclusively entailed telling them to fuck off at a grocery store, Quill asked her health teacher what it meant to fuck someone. The resultant “EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!” could be heard across the neighborhood.
