Merchants' Brotherhood
Structure
The Guild is led by Hawkes, who is assisted and "kept in check" (in theory) by a small advisory board. There is a hierarchy among the rest of the members, but it's not really important outside of the organization and even inside the organization occasionally.
Culture
The Guild is old and powerful. The higher ups feel important and superior and the lower ranking members largely feel lucky just to be a part of the Guild and have its protections and benefits.
Public Agenda
- Protect merchants from unfair treatment, by either employers or a government
- Keep trade open as much as possible
- Gain power by banding together
