Tsiif Iltaa

Tsiif Iltaa is a town in southwest Ethion, known for breaking major Ethite taboos regarding touching other people. It is a popular place for people to go when wanting to engage in touch-heavy activities, including massage, sex, and fighting.

History

Tsiif Iltaa was founded by Jewel Riese after she failed the Ordeal of the Mirage. Because she failed and her actions were not recorded in the Book of Ethics, there are multiple accounts of what she did. Some stories say that she refused to take part in the ordeal whatsoever, others that she ended her ordeal before completing it, due to a secret pregnancy. Still other stories claim she broke a major Ethite taboo, such as engaging in cannibalism

or touching another person outside of appropriate circumstances. The latter is likely, due to the level of touch in which people engage in in Tsiif Iltaa. Whatever the reason, she left Mevi, seeking companionship that would be less bothered by her seeming lack of ethics or her lack of a veil.

The wearing of veils in the Ethite religion was not introduced until shortly before the time cannibalism was outlawed.

Tourism

Activities that draw people to the town center around extensive touch of other people, which is generally considered taboo in the Ethite religion. The town has several massage parlors and bathhouses. It is also easy to find prostitutes, and it is one of the few Ethite towns that has sanctioned martial arts tournaments, which are available as a spectator sport. It is also a place where hard to find items can be sought.
