Tiefling

Tieflings are among the common peoples of Nexus. Like the other common peoples, tieflings' physiology represents a mix of planar influence from the Four Planes which make up Nexus. Tieflings carry an elevated influence from the Elemental Plane, with individuals usually demonstrating an affinity for a particular element.   Tieflings share the basic shape common to other humanoids, but are set apart by the presence of horns and a tail, as well as skin colors that go beyond typical tones to include nearly every color of the rainbow. Tails are typically long and fleshy, movable but not prehensile. Horns vary in size and form, ranging from a pair of ram-like horns that curl backwards to a single horn arching upward from the center of the forehead, and almost everything in between. Skin colors rarely fall within typical humanoid tones, instead showing resemblance to a particular element (red for fire tieflings, blue for ice tieflings, and so on).   Tiefling elemental affinities are as varied as the elements themselves, though the more "primary" elements (like fire, ice, and lightning) are a bit more common among the population. A tiefling's elemental affinity affects their physiology in various ways. They are usually resistant to harm from their element and often have an innate ability to perform small amounts of corresponding elemental magic.   Tieflings reach maturity in their mid to late teens, much like humans, and likewise reach similar heights of around five to six feet. They also share the same typical lifespan of around 70 to 90 years.
