Nexolith

A world that exists as an interplanar hub. The only hub in fact, and the only path between worlds.   A single continent sits atop a massive pillar, populated by all manner of intelligent races.   Due to the constant threat of extraplanar attacks, the peoples of Nexolith exist in a mostly peaceful state. It can be hard to hate your neighbor when strangers regularly come to burn down your neighborhood.   While the current state of Nexolith is one of peace this has not always been the case, and evidence of great wars can be found across the world. Ancient infrastructure from myriad fallen civilizations now runs throughout the many lands of Nexolith, most knowledge of their workings long since lost to the ravages of time. Exploring these ruins and learning of the past that has been lost is a major industry on Nexolith and several Guilds have developed to facilitate this. Most importantly: the Adventurers Guild.   This is the role you will step into as a player in this world, that of an adventurer!
