Nex

Life is always hardest in the middle. Middle seat, middle child; caught between a rock and a hard place. People who live in the middle don't necessarily ask for trouble, but trouble is theirs all the same.   At the confluence of astal routes through the migrating planes of the multiverse lies the planar nexus. In Common, it's inhabitants call it 'Nex'. An earthlike continent of ocean and mountain, forest and field, great cities and fierce deserts. On all sides, Nex is surrounded by the Far Seas, and beyond the seas lie the liminal boundaries of the Beyond.   Life is always hardest in the middle, and life on Nex is no different. Held between both celestial planes and fiendscapes, elemental strongholds and faerie wilds, Nex has always been a meeting ground of creatures, ideas, and conflicts.   To prosper on Nex is to become a master, not just of your own world, but of worlds and crafts both mysterious and malevolent, that left to themselves would gladly carve a foothold in your home.
