Vampyre

Basic Information

Dietary Needs and Habits

95% of the vampire populations fall under the ‘rose’ category. This means they require roes to survive, and despite human misconceptions, NOT human blood. However, human blood can heal a vampire's wounds, make their abilities stronger, and make them more alert. If a vampire drinks the equivalent of 1007 humans then they can become immortal, or invincible for the next 100-500 years.   Rose Types The roses that vampires feed on are not ordinary roses. They are specially cultivated, and each rose has its own specific rank   A rose which fell under the colour range of pink, red, orange and yellow were the most common roses, and the equivalent of 1/3 of a meal. They are practically veggies.   A purple/indigo rose was rarer, and each was around 1 meal.   Blue and green roses were 3 meals each, and had extreme healing properties. They are widely sought after. (they are the equivalent of ambrosia) You cannot eat one in one whole go,as the digestive system can burn up. These roses can only be grown under special care, and are used by healers.   Black roses are thought to be a myth. They exist however, and there are only three plants which flowers a black rose once every three ½ years. These are extremely useful in potion brewing. A slice of one petal, or a little bit of the sweet juice could curse a person for ten years.   White roses are the opposite. They are said to bring immortality, or cure a person who has an incurable disease. White and black roses together (along with other ingredients) can create an elixir to bring a person fully back alive.

Biological Cycle

Corruption is one of the strongest abilities a vampire has, It essentially causes them to turn into mindless monsters with immense strength, without human blood. Corruption can be activated at will, but if the situation is dire, the vampire will activate it by instinct   Blood thirst is another ‘ability’. It is more of an instinct that if a vampire is hungry, almost starving even, and they smell fresh blood, they will become a little savage in order to feed.   Catalyst is an ability, similar to hibernation. When a vampire cannot feed, and is starving or severely injured and cannot heal, they can go into a catalyst. It slows their life down. The downside is that it affects memory, and in severe cases can cause long term amnesia, and a rapid decline in skill and abilities. Many vampires prefer death over catalyst for a long term.   Hypnosis is a long lost art. It refers to the practice of using light and the oddly shaped pupils to mess with the human mind.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Vampires, for most of the part, look very human. They however have pupils that are cat shaped, and unnaturally red instead of black.   Vampires have markings all over their cheeks, where freckles normally reside. These are curse marks, and are impossible to remove.   As well as this, they have sharp talons similar to dragonfolk.   A vampire's most distinguishing feature could be considered their hair. All vampires have a root of white hair, which fades to their natural hair colour.
