Duncan Shillkin is currently 55 years old. The Shillkin family has been a hundred percent loyal to the royal family, for many thousands years. Commander Shillkin swore an oath to the king, as many generations of commanders before him, to their kings. Duncan Shillkin is a very serious man, and a strict father. He is commander of all of the military as well as the police-force of Dunceast, and acts as the king's personal bodyguard. Normal people in town only ever see him when the royal family is to be escorted anywhere, where he will be riding just in front of their carriage. His sons, as well as his daughter, are all very skilled fighters and are all high ranked military officers. The most prestigious fighter- and paladin-schools are the Shillkin-arcademies, they also are the only verified schools to be educated to be a royal guard.

The Shillkin family is quite traditional. Duncan Shillkin has a wife and 5 children and the two oldest of hus children now have grandchildren. They maintain both a very platonic and professional relationship when they are at work, where sometimes they don't always agree on everything. And a more normal family relationship outside of work, but as Duncan is a busy man, he is rarely seen outside of work.

The Shillkin family is very beloved by the royal family. They have a close and long-lasting friendship to the Collonéle family, not for business reasons, but because they get along together quite well at private parties. They have managed not to be in any dept or favor to the Sunkin family, and are generally vary conscious about that. They dislike the 'alternative' lifestyle of the Varrina family, and tend not to do more business with them than possible. The Gunslacker family they get along quite well with.
