Cornu

This is a breed of monstrous anthropomorphic black bird, they have a sub human intelligence, sharp talons and sharper beaks. They run on two legs, they cannot fly due to their size and weight however they can glide with incredible speed. They tend not to use weapons despite having dexterous hands. Their thick matt of feathers provide a natural armour. They have no speech however they can communicate with squawks amongst each other. They are unorganised and don't work well together. They are in high population on the Isles of Sandhun, where they scavenge for food and scraps, attacking anyone who dare to get close, making the surrounding sea practically impassable due to their high numbers.
They survive from eating a diet of fish and plant life. Despite their size there need for sustenance is minimal. They tend to be scrawny and can often get in fights for scraps of food.
Due to their brain size Chyldermas managed to control them and organise them into armies. The devestation they caused was close to world ending due to their numbers and the unexpected nature of the attack. Following Chyldermas' death the link to the Cornu disappeared leaving them without strategy or motive. The Cornu that didnt escape were fended off by the last survivors.
