This keep is located in a remote alpine valley in the Great Lookout Mountains to the northeast of the Crystal Eye. Black bears and mountain lions - including potentially a spirit lion - live all along the ascent and may be encountered over the full days' hike to the adventuring site. Goblin raiders have also been known to camp in the numerous hollows bored into the rock further to the east-northeast and may also present a threat to trial aspirants.
