Cresuia Settlement in Never everland | World Anvil

Cresuia

Cresuia, faraway from everywere

At the top of the north, deep in the large forests of the northern parts of the Empire in the principality of Coburgz . Lies the small village, Cresuia. The village would be one of the most remote settlements in the whole empire.

Demographics

The inhabitants mostly consists of poachers, loggers with their families and other mysterious types that best fit far out into the woods. As well as a teacher and some soldiers and a kind of sheriff, who is the empire's representative on the spot. A total of a hundred people lives in and around the village.

Government

It is very far to the capital. An officer lives in the village. He acts law, tax collectors and is the state's agent. However, it is not often as it is estimated out in the poor forest and the law is often taken in their own hands.

Defences

The Landgrave has placed a small garrison of 50 soldiers in the village. Mostly to keep the order among the local population. There is currently no external threat to the village.

Industry & Trade

The only industrial activity in the area is charcoal production and tar production. The charcoal is transported in the winter with large sledges. The fact that the transports take place in winter is due to the fact that the ground is frozen and the snow lies. Which makes it much easier to get around with sledges than during the hot seasons try to get on the bad roads with carts. Twice a year, the area's fur hunters gather to sell their skins and gossip about events in the area. Then also buyers from different quarters come to buy up skins from the large forests in the north.

Assets

The inhabitants receive their main income through forest products such as timber and tar. Most of the empire's fur trade has its focal point right here in the village.
