Nerdbuilding Mission Statement

Nerdbuilding.com is an “Enhanced Settlement Generator.” Meant to provide Worldbuilders, Game Masters, Fantasy Writers, and anyone else looking for creative inspiration, a realistic and complete set of information when creating, and filling, a fantasy settlement.
Nerdbuilding.com will focus only on those items and features surrounding the creation of a medieval style fantasy settlement (Village, Town, City etc).

While settlements vary in size and complexity, the basic requirements for all settlements remain the same. Weather and climate; landscapes and geological features; access to and supply of available food, access to fresh water, resources and building materials, etc. The list is fairly expansive, and Nerdbuilding.com will address these items in a logical manner. At this time, Nerdbuilding.com will not address generation of global tectonics, weather patterns, ocean currents, international relationships, or even intra-national relationships. Settlements generated by Nerdbuilding are not geared toward any one fantasy setting / game system. This is by design, as everyone's world is unique. What we give you is a seed, a springboard from which to launch your creativity. Take what we give you and use as much, or as little, as suits your needs; your world is your own, after all!
