The Reports

The first report of the Evansi came at the end of Yonder, 1916 ECE. After excavation efforts for the Hyper Hydraulic Batteries , an attack on the vehicles by a group of strange looking bipedal creatures was reported. Originally believed to be the Anarchists, another armed group was sent through the intact roads that led into the city in Mai of 1916 ECE. After passing the remains of the previous battalion, one vehicle was left to inspect the wreckage of the previous. As the rest of the group went to retrieve the batteries, the inspectors sent live transmission back to the headquarters. They sent back quite shocking description of the massacre. Almost all of the troops sent in were missing. There were only 4 recovered bodies that were found in the back of an overturned truck near the back of the group. This revelation led to the debate of the intelligence of the creatures, believing that the overturned vehicle was a way to trap the incoming troops, preventing them from turning back into the wilderness from which they came. However, no further observations were documented as the contact with the group was abruptly cut. Contact with the excavation group remained however. Already crossing three miles, the group started to report stranger and stranger sights. The most disturbing being the crucified display of skeletons on the devastated roads. This further led to the belief that the people responsible for the massacre had actually consumed the bodies and prized there bones. Not 2 minutes after the last report, complete communication was lost.

The Evasions

Due to the lack of evidence of a separate species or group, wide speculations and public support for the uncovering of the mysterious savages increased. The leads on this subject however, were very slim and were only based on the accounts and behavior observed by the previous two units. Over the next 3 years, little information would be collected concerning the creatures. The first photo wasn't captured until 6 years after the first accounts.

The photo was captured in Merce of 1922 ECE by a Multi Functional Ground Droid . The droid was eventually destroyed, not by Evansi, but the Anarchists. The creatures, now considered to be a separate species, avoided and ransacked any contact with other species, especially humans. However, in 1922 ECE, some strange infor was collected at an unnamed prison in the Northern Glaciers of Angulus . Prisoners that were considered healthy, mentally fit individuals saw the photo as a near human looking figure with long, noodle-like appendages and distorted body. The prisoners that have or had a history of mental disability reported that the figure in the photo resembled a beautiful female or a majestic animal. Others began to speak in a foreign language to which they had no connection to. And many others began to mumble a repeated term in an incoherent manner. Additionally, the mentally disabled prisoners saw other strange happenings with the photo. Some of the most intensely effected by mental illness were able to communicate clearly for the first time in a while. They reported that the image didn't portray just one Evansi, but many, all staring into the image. This further put the mysterious nature of the Evansi into further question.

The USSUL

This new discovery on the toll that the sight of the Evansi has on the mind sparked a lot of scientists from all fields to further study the strange creatures of East Veces. This union of support would later be called "The Union to the Study of Strange and Unusual Lifeforms" or USSUL. This union wouldn't last very long as the funding for the research quickly ran dry. The Veces government agreed to fund the group if they were able to retrieve the Hyper Hydraulic Batteries in an unnamed location near the Heanese Water Project. Thus starting the 3rd expedition into the wasted city of East Veces. Promise began to look more evident as the USSUL had traveled the farthest into the city than any previous trial. The entire convoy was packed with weaponry, MFGDs, and cranes to lift the heavy technology. After reaching the epicenter of the 2nd bomb, they reported an entire bastion of dark figures surrounding the convoy. After this however, no other transmissions were made and it is assumed that the group was lost to either the anarchists, or the Evansi, although no evidence has been found on either.

The Expeditions

Because of the previous attempts to retrieve the important technology by the Veces government and its subordinates, other means of transportation were being considered. One of these included the landing of equipment and shipment back to HQ by boat. However, to much came into play and this plan was quickly stamped out for a number of reasons.

The mines
The left over debris from warships and docked boats that were destroyed and left at the shores because of the bombs.
No large enough boat could get close enough to the shore.
The closest to the warehouses the boats could access were 50 miles away. This was still way to far for the personnel to travel, let alone bring the large, heavy batteries.

The mines and warship debris were a result on the paranoia that the government had during the Quizamac-Veces War. Worried about an attack on there shores via invasion by a secret Quizamac navy that was built with the cooperation of the Republic of Malahgan, ships, mines, and artillery were placed around the shores of East Veces. Civilians were sent inside as the troops lay outside, waiting for the first shots to ring out. However, the government was correct about East Veces being the city of the attack, but they didn't believe it to be the most destructive AIR attacks ever. The blast damaged or destroyed any of the ready warships and boats near the shores and the ensuing destruction resulted in the entire stationed fleet to be useless, left to rot near the great city they were sworn to protect.

This resulted in the land operaations trying, and failing every attempt to reach the warehouses. The final expedition was carried out on Pino 8th, 1928 ECE. This. like the others, was lost to the forces within the ruins. However, this convoy had gone even further than its predecessors. This progress that was made and gained every operation led many of the disbanded USSUL to believe that the Evansi population was shrinking due to the activity that the humans had brought. Some speculated that the creatures were re-entering the forests that remained around East Veces, possibly returning to the habitats from once they came. The batteries were eventually picked up in Merce of 1929 ECE after airships that were most fit for the job were created and sent.

The Mystery Persists

The most mysterious trait of the Evansi are their nature to stay elusive, an any one of there kind that are physically exposed to outside contact destroy themselves via fire or consumption by its own species. This willingness to rid there affected neighbors so swiftly brings into question why they remain so mysterious and how come they are so determined to remain this way. However, their most mysterious and frightening capability is to know when, or who in their ranks have been exposed to the outside. Satellites have provided incredible insight into the lives and culture of the Evansi, but at the cost of there lives. The Evansi have been able to read when the images have been seen an not long after, the entire group that has been exposed is completely devastated. The fact that they have the ability to sense whenever they have been seen, even without directly being exposed, fascinates many who care.

Genetics and Reproduction

Reproduction
It is unknown how the Evansi reproduce. Many believe it to be a form of sexual reproduction carried out by the males and females of the species. However, this idea is ill supported as no observation has been made. Gestation
The Evansi birth to pregnancy period is believed to be between 11 months from initial act to around 2 years after the initial act. The only source of this information is from the 3 (alleged) females that were observed via MFGD. These females had been impregnated and given birth a varied rates. The birth method used in delivery takes a lot of energy from the mother. When the young ling is born, they exit through a self-inflicted cavity near the mothers chin. Approximately 1.5 minutes later, a gel like form exists the open wound and is caught by the mother. Almost immediately after, the gel begins to violently convulse. The convulsion periods range. It is believed that the convulsion periods play a role in the quality of the child. Possibly its intellect or strength, although these claims aren't supported. After the final convulsion period, the child emerges and is immediately swallowed by the mother. The mother does not consume the baby, but rather stores it inside its mouth while it returns to the main concentration. The mother does the birth in private for unknown reasons, possibly part of its culture. Any official settlements of these creatures haven't been pinpointed. The last located address happened to be false as all the organisms within that shelter deserted, leaving behind an almost unrecognizable MFGD . All the mothers and children that were observed had been found dead only a few days after each observation. This leads many to believe that the Evansi have a type of culture centered around its secrecy. This explains the still dominant human presence in within The East Veces Ruins .

Growth Rate & Stages

The growth rate of the Evansi are widely speculated. From the observed periods of transition, they prove to be short, but brutal.

Birth

After the child has exited from the mother body, it begins to convulse violently within its gel-like shelter. After a certain period of the violent shaking, the kin emerges from its shell and is immediately shoved into the mouth of its mother as the mother begins its swift journey back to the settlement. Satellite imaging shows that all of the mothers that had been observed to give birth had all ran to the same ruined building and quickly exit. This leads many to believe that every child birthed is sent to a certain concentration where they are either left to fend for themselves amongst the other youth of the creatures, or they are taken care of by other beings within the said building. No further research has been conducted as all the mothers and children within the concentration were found dead and decaying a few days after the first observations.

Ecology and Habitats

The Evansi's only known place of residence is in the The East Veces Ruins . No other place in Neo-Earth has ever reported creatures such as the Evansi.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The food habits of the Evansi are a mystery besides the few data collected throughout the years. The first of this was from the believed consumption of the first excavation team that was sent in to retrieve the Hyper Hydraulic Batteries from within the wreckage of the Grand Heanese River . The terrifying display of skeletal remains of the first team led many to believed that they were eaten by they're holders. However, this claimis widely debated. Because of the dual existence of Fendums (The Fendum Anarchists ) and the Evansi, it is very possible the attacks could have been conducted by humans. The tactic to block off the path to exit the wilderness led many to speculate that the mysterious creatures had a degree of intelligence to trap their enemy, however, recent observations contradict these claims as the Evansi are shown to completely avoid human contact at all costs. The true diet and feeding habits of the Evansi are widely unknown and would possibly never be known. As better technology improves and the human observations on the creatures become more intense, a steady decline of Evansi within the The East Veces Ruins becomes more and more apparent. It is unknown whether the overall population of the Evansi is lowering, having humans drive the species extinct, or they are slowly retracting back into the wilderness, seeing as the ruined city is no more than another human colony.

Biological Cycle

The Evansi happen to be very resourceful when it comes to the transitions. As The Angulus Transitions take place just a few miles West, the Evansi seemingly disappear into the city's remaining structures. They are undetectable for months until the Summer Transition in later Merce that they begin to make a reappearance. Much of their tactics during the Winter months of Veces are highly unknown and debate within this area is low. Much of the information observed about this mysterious species comes from the Summer months. Although there is seldom information collected here.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The species is under a vast movement of human movement into their area. The Fendum Anarchists coninuously move more and more East. Although it is not known why the people of the East Veces region don't take the entire city and avoid pockets and blocks of city. It is widely regarded that the Fendum Anarchists have established some form of etiquette towards the Evansi. The Evansi are continuing to be excluded from the city and the population of the Evansi is on a steady streak downwards.

Facial characteristics

They tend to have a very flat rigid face that is distorted. This varies across the species with some looking very beautiful while others are completely soul wrenching (similar to the one in the first photo)

Average Intelligence

There is little known in the full cognitive capabilities of the Evansi. They do show a level of self-awareness and cooperation among each other that is simply astonishing. However, they constantly migrate across a region. it is unknown exactly why, but it is believed that it is to avoid contact with other species, possibly even finding a tangible food source for themselves.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The abilities to evade and sense when being observed is one of the most mysteries of the Evansi. They are even able to sense the observation made via satellite which is truly astonishing. In the photo above, the creature appears to contain eyes and a mouth, no ear are visible and the face looks very distorted. Although, no studies and/or observations have been successful in determining how and why the Evansi do this. One of the most popular theories is that if the ancient bond that the Evansi may have with humans, and it may be psychological,.

It is possible that the Evansi have a culture of human evasion and survival that we on the other side simply do not understand. We don't understand because the Evansi don't want us, or we simply won't get it..

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

None. The other periodic event that is seen is the abandonment of open ground by the Evansi on the exact day of the The Angulus Transition into winter and the reemergence on the exact day of summer transition. This change doesn't give researchers mush time for them to observe the Evansi.

Common Taboos

The Evansi tend to avoid all outside contact and observation as possible, no matter the cost. Any members of their species that were 'contaminated' are killed. The reason behind this taboo is unknown and is one of the most mysterious traits of any creature known.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Evansi are believed to have some type of deep, ancient, psychological bond with all humans, some more than others. They're diplomatic relations with any species is simply non-existent or unknown.

Conservation Status

All efforts for the extermination of the species are halted because of the possible intelligence it may convey. Structures and tactics believed to be created by the Evansi have led many to speculate the likely possibility of self-awareness of the species. No official document has been created to for the conservation of the species. However, expeditions and attempts are being made to eventually capture and study the creatures. Even over 100 years after the first report, their existence and hostility is still widely debated. The only actual effort to protect the creatures is the subsequent observation of the species as they destroy themselves when they are seen. This leads many to limit the rate and amount of information about the Evansi, as to save them.
