Copper Crabs
Large (5-10 kg) crustaceans which spawn in shallow water. Some coastal dwellers have discovered how to refine small amounts of copper from their blood.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Their appearance is similar to large horseshoe crabs. Their blood uses hemocyanin to transport oxygen.
Genetics and Reproduction
They reproduce in shallow water near shorelines, often in tide pools. The larvae return to deep water to mature.
