Yernhuln Trees and Leaves
The Yernhuln Tree is commonly used in medicinal practices by the human Raven Skull cults, specifically because it is common in the region of Denshland. The translucent purple leaves are often picked by an herb gatherer that is either an alchemist, or a merchant that has studied the arts of alchemy but does not practice.
Yernhuln leaves were something that the Vampen Ires have been using for thousands of years because of their known purposes for healing, but were recently discovered for their magical uses by Humans. The green glowing cracks in the hard brown bark of the Yernhuln trees provide a flow of Dread Magic essence that is funneled into the Yernhuln leaves that alters their color and gives the translucency to the leaves. The roots of the trees feed on a rich soil that is made up of the Starplex bright particles that are found in the rays when light is cast upon Yunsertia.
Once the Yernhuln leaves are gathered, they are put into a bowl and then mashed into a paste when water is added into it. When it is in paste form, it will require a bit of magic to alter it's properties into a healing substance. Typically the Vampen Ires would add Dread magic to it, which would mend the wounds and cure the sick that are Vampen Ires.
Humans will instead at Hollow magic to the paste. While Hollow magic creates a similar reaction to the paste that dread does by curing the sick and mending wounds, it will also increase all color saturation within the eyes of Humans. The Human iris will glow white and magic mist will drift from them. This allows Humans to see the world in brightly vivid colors for roughly 30 minutes of time.
When the paste is complete, it may be used immediately or it may be kept in a glass jar type of container. This paste by the Vampen Ires is known to them as "Kallen Sheer" meaning "I am Healed" in the language of Valtenkloor. Although Humans have heard it called "Kallen Sheer", they will often refer to it as "Healing Paint".
Merchants of the Raven Skull bone cults will typically sell Healing Paint for a gold coin or two, depending on the quality. If it weren't for the Yernhuln leaves being so common, merchants may be able to get away with selling it for a higher price.
