A little dictionary/terminology/glossary

Words that seem unfamiliar (especially those that look made up), as well as unfamiliar word usages, are listed here with their meanings for a quick view.
A   Alliance - the name of the current Intergalact. Alliance is the direct successor of the previous Intergalact, Order.   Allied Races - an organisation consisting of member-worlds which are represented by the chosen People (e.g. The Navagarian People) and is first and foremost intended to be a harmonising force among the member-worlds. It is one of the most essential aspects of Alliance.   Aster - the metaphysical "organ" that lets an entity perform magick.   B   Biote - A made-up word with two uses: biote either refers to (a) animals, or (b) both animals, plants, and other organisms. The first sense is interchangeable with the term zoole. Used in a formal/academic/professional context.   C   Callow - those who are incapable of doing magick.   D   E   F   Forever flesh - refers to the bodies of the Theoi that never die or degrade to the point of death, no matter how grievous the harm. This is directly a violation of the assumption that most, if not all material things will eventually decay or give out. It is the most famous ability of Theoi, as well as their greatest source of misery. There is said to be only one thing that can let Theoi feel true eternal peace. It hasn't been found yet.   G   H   I   Intergalact - defined as a "cosmic neighbourhood". Outside political use, it refers to the largest possible area in space that has a functional degree of relations among the parties concerned in that region of space, which would mean for example that the Halaacarian solar system is an Intergalact. Politically, the Intergalact is the largest known group unit in the observable Regiverse, under which members are brought together to have peace and resolve common issues that threaten all fronts. Not intended to be an empire, but rather a "safe space" for anyone living in its bounds to be able to live their lives without crippling issues, anxiety, etc.   J   K   Kamadegodan - one of the many terms that mean "the end times", though this is among the most commonly used words.   L   M   Magore - a Weir with a mutation that grants them much more potent magick capabilities than a non-magore, even those who are considered talented in magick. More than one great battlemage, wizard, or witch in Navagarian history has been a magore.   Metaborn - a Weir with a mutation that is less concentrated on physical appearance and more on powers and abilities, especially those that deviate from the normal powerset of their own specid or kind. As a result, they look less comparatively weird than physical Weir, but the things they can do will often surprise other people.   N   Niabyssia - an archaic term for the region beyond the sky, i.e. outer space. In contemporary astronomy, it is now used to refer to a specific area a little beyond the exosphere known as the Niabyssian range. The word Niabyssia is still occasionally used in its original meaning in less strict astronomy (astronomers are careful to differentiate between this and the Niabyssian range) and in ordinary speech.   O   Order - the Intergalact that came before the current one, Alliance. Reviled by various propaganda as a cold, overcontrolling Intergalact that eventually attempted to absolutely rule over and subjugate all worlds--the start of its fall.   P   Physical Weir - A type of Weir whose mutations are very visible on the outside--they look weird (a cup for a head, a waterfall for a torso, stone-like skin, a large crab-like claw on the right arm, entire body looks like a giant lizard, etc.). They are usually the type of Weir being referred to when people in ordinary conversation mention "Weir", whereas the other two types, the Metaborn and magore, are not really thought of as Weir.   Q   R   S   Specid - my made-up word for singular form of 'species'   T   Theoi - beings enshrouded in great legend and mystery across the cosmos, commonly thought of as physicalised deities. They all have one defining trait--their inability or curse to die by anything except, allegedly, one thing, which the Theoi themselves have been looking for since time immemorial. The physical reason for this "conceptual immortality" is their body's forever flesh.   Terra firma - Latin for "solid land", I think. Designates a region or continent as being true land as opposed to non terra firma regions or continents which would either be in bodies of water or in the sky. Acathar and Sakoshina are terra firma continents, for example.   U   V   W   Weir - You can describe these as "magick mutants" if you want. Weir are conceived with very extreme, seemingly unpredictable mutations that will either help or hinder them in life. There are three main kinds of Weir: the physical Weir, the Metaborn, and the magore.   In ordinary usage, the word Weir usually refers to the first kind, the physical Weir. This is thus a very narrow use of the word, and can contribute to further unfair treatment of physical Weir, and in the end, the entire umbrella of Weir.   Werian - an alleged group of violent beings dating back to distant prehistory. One of the first shapeshifters on Navagar, thought to be the ancestors of Weir and thus the originators of the Weir mutation effect. Werians remain a relatively obscure topic in serious academic studies, teetering near pseudoscience.   Sometimes in popular culture, "Werian" is synonymous with shapeshifters in general, though they were just one kind of shapeshifters; not all shapeshifters are Werians, for sure.     Y   Z   Zoole - A made-up word that means "animal", used in a formal/academic/professional context alongside "biote".
