The Cult of The Pale Eclipse
The Cult of The Pale Eclipse of a group of necromancers who are named due to their belief that the power of the pale eclipse is the key to their asscension to lichdom. A small and reclusive organisation, they are found in scattered in individual cells amongst the north of The Kingdom of Lobina and meeting only on the day of a pale eclipse.
History
The Cult was formed in 5693 AGD by Marcus Minae, a necromancer who was obsessed with the pale moon and believed it was his destiny to become the king of the pale lands. He brought together a group of fellow necromancers of varying skill levels who had similar wishes of power and they began casting various rituals on the nights of pale eclipses, when the pale moon blocks out the light of the elemental plane of fire.
Over the next 30 years the group would begin establishing various labs in abandoned sites amongs the towns and countryside of Northern Lobina, raising constructs and minions from the bodies gained by robbing graves and the odd unintended murder. Soon the cult had become a nuisance to the north but no one really knew who they were or what they were doing, only that the results of their experiments were terrorizing people and their graverobbing was causing grief amongst the people.
In 5748 AGD Marcus Minae dissapeared withotu a trace, leaving a hole within the leadership of the cult. which after a fierce leadership struggle was won by Jerus Skelthrope, the apprentice of the former leader of the cult. Under the leadership of Jerrus the cult has began to mor strongly consolidate within the towns they operate in, with each passing eclipse gaining more undead minions to roam the northeast, leading to the county of lancenshore in the northwest of Lobina being nicknamed the ghostshore.
