Structure

organized with a council of incredibly powerful undead at the top mostly chosen for their wisdom and intellectual capacity as well as being trusted to perform well in the position. under them are less and less important councils of individuals to organize it's members efficiently all the way down to the lowest ranks. all members within the dustmen capable of individual thought can advance in rank if they prove themselves capable and wish to advance since it is entirely voluntary to do so.

ensuring it's members and associates have the freedom and protection to follow their personal pursuits and agenda's. subjugation of living races for feeding members that would need to feed on the living. spreading an appreciation for arts and intellectual pursuits in the universe.

History

it started out as a group of Liches that banded together for mutual beneficial reasons like protection and widerspread influence. they succeeded in taking over their planetary origin and ruling it from the shadows since way before the space age and has slowly and steadily been increasing their influence since then. some of the Liches have perished since the founding and some have lost interest in leading the organization. and since then a lot of new members have joined so it's natural that none of the original founders are currently on the council. though they could surely get back on it if they so wished.
