Session 41 - (25th November 2020) - Climb to the Storm
Leaving the tunnels, they head towards a small flat bit of land just below them. Storms still raging atop the large mountain across the way and heavy snow and rain still coming down upon them. Powerful winds blow through the group and creatures made of swirling air attack as a loud noise is made, the goliaths helping fend them off. They decide to head up the mountain towards the storm and possibly dragon and encounter a series of challenging climbs that are definately made easier with the large bodied friends. A group of Ice Mephits attack as they get closer to the summit but they manage to fend them off, find a place to camp for the night with shelter and fire and prepare to face the beast and rest of the climb the next day.
Session 40 - (11th November 2020) - Larger Friends
Heading up the mountain path they reach a plateau as it begins to snow heavily. Through the snow, Dharma notices smoke in the distance and they decide to get closer to see what is there. They discover a Goliath encampment and get invited in to the camp. They meet the rest of the tribe and tell of their desires to get to the dragon in the mountains and ask if any would assist them in their quest and while hesistant at first, a few agree to help if they in return help do some things around camp. The group agree and set to work on a series of tasks more suited to smaller hands such as delicate repairs, Bella also spruces up their 'garden' - sufficiently improving growing conditions. Resting the night, they make a breakfast for camp in the morning before setting out with three goliath's towards the mountain the dragon is most likely to be at. They go through a very long hidden tunnel to save some time and make camp at the other end for the night, sounds of storms rumbling and rain falling in the distance.
Sessions 30-39 notes were lost - things happened
In this time they have taken on a few quests from postings in Odek, hunted some gnolls that had a druid captured and recruited her into their strange group. After meeting Bella, they investigate a weedy lake and battle the froghemoth, travel to the guild and some become members - some do not. They travelled to Chu to try and get to the bottom of the blue material that was stolen and then head into the mountains to try and hunt down the mysterious storm dragon that many have sighted in the week previous. Eraz and Mayloth almost get lured away by a mysterious tune but the others snap them out of it.
Session 29 - 17th June - Sap Professionals
Deciding to loop back round the long way to Fooks to try and find more trees, they set off and discover a patch of wetlands in the woods. Some sparkly light entities whispering seductively in sylvan try to charm the party into following them but they resist the urges, deciding to follow them on their own terms and at a safe distance. They manage to nearly lure Marloux into a muddy trap but he casts a spell on the group allowing them to walk over the water, the wisps visibly angry, float on.   Going further in and closer to home they do encounter another 2 trees to harvest from, spend the night in the woods and go back to Fooks the next morning. Dharma visits a contact from the Abyss to try and see if the sap holds any value, particularly some of the worse quality samples but the entity deems it all worthless. They visit Tavasteria and talk to Padeon before selling the sap for 10gp above asking price. Dharma also revisits the tanner in the woods to mess with him some more, Ereoss goes to the blacksmith Caliban to ask about the metal from the tormentors. Talanashta is back from her adventures and is catching up, a meeting is scheduled and a day of well earned downtime is had. The next day they all go to enquire about various things, discovering the metal is a conductor for necrotic magic, giving Morrigan some sending stones to keep in touch regarding portals and lending some mining equipment for a dig at the ruins. They learn of Tokreon and it's uses in mining.
  Session 28 - 10th June - Abyssal Chicken
The heavy steps turn out to from a goliath running towards the party, upon seeing them he warns them to run as something is coming and proceeds to run past the group. In the distance they can hear the rustling of trees and a heavier stomping sound coming towards them, they hide in a tree just off the path. Blink dogs appear and begin sniffing out the goliath and the group and in the distance, a large metal figure is coming ever closer.   The figure is a tormentor from the Feywild and Morrigan fills them in on what they are and where they are from. They decide to battle the dogs and tormentor using some clever techniques including tentacles to defeat it. The group find the goliath named Hammerhead and they find his group in the woods, destroying an active portal to the feywild that this beast must have come through. After some exploring and making camp, the next day they find some of the trees they were looking for and harvest sap. Dharma shows off his chicken.
  Session 27 - 20th May 2020 - Sap Hunters
Dharma heads off (with the others) to show off some magic at a class at the Fooks School of Magic, excellently showing off some tentacles. Morrigan buys some potions from a trader just outside the grounds and they head to Tavasteria to browse and buy some more potions. Noticing a job asking for volunteers to collect sap from rare trees in the woods they get redirected back to Padeon Tavaster who kits them out and gives them the info they need. After a brief planning session they head into the woods on the eastern border of town, following a well-made passage toward the center. As the trail starts to taper off and the head off track they manage to scatter the wildlife away including a few small packs of wolves however when they get deeper in, Morrigian decides to shout phrases in Sylvan to which no response is returned but the sounds of a heavy-footed creature can be heard in the distance.
  Session 26 - 6th May 2020 - Long road to Fooks
The group inform a guard in Ank about the creatures they have encounted, the portal in the woods and details about how those Halflings were locked in cages in the Shadowfell. They head onward with their idea of visiting the Fooks School of Magic and spend the next few days stopping at the camps along the way. Dharma and Morrigan get up to mischief with polymorph and upset a lot of campers and some party members. They arrive at Fooks, rest the night and set off in the morning to see Talanashta Quedys but find out she is away on business. Everyone decides to spend a day researching books about a variety of subjects, they do manage to discover the runes they found in the shadowfell are powerful portal sealing runes that have been broken as well as some information about the Al'Tea Ruins and it's related dig projects. They go back to the Barge Right Inn to rest for the night.
  Session 25 - 22nd April 2020 - Heroes
Getting closer to these cages, they see three of them swinging from thick branches, hanging by old and creaky chains. Some of the beings inside appear more active than others and getting up close they can hear the familiar eerie rasping, sucking noises of a creature they recently fought back home. Sneaking around the cluster of trees they see more cages and a tall thin creature with an overstreched mouth full of teeth seeming to suck life energy out of one of the beings in the cages.   They plan their attack, trying to lure the creature out by throwing large rocks to which it eventually wanders over into their ambush of attacks. It tries to savage it's closet foes with razor sharp claws and teeth tearing into their flesh with some success, flying into a blind rage and knocking Ereoss unconsious, landing serious blows to Marloux.   A few choice strikes mark the end of the creature, they figure out how best to get these halflings out of their cages. Ereoss crafts a ladder out of wood with some cunning magic and Morrigan sets about opening the cages and trying to catch the halflings as they fall. Dharma and Ereoss steadying the ladder and catching anyone that falls too far, eventually all six creatures are out and they head back to the brightness of the portal they came through.   Taking note of a few of the runes that line the darkness, the step through into the material plane, where the light hits them like a hot poker in the eyes. They adjust themselves and continue to carry the halflings back to Ank where the guards summon other halflings and a swarm of them come and take the others into the village. Morrigan follows to provide the information about the runes to a healer who takes an interest in them. Everyone regroups at the tavern where Dharma tries out another performance, this time more striking the style he had in mind and while the majority of the people in there do not seem to like it, a group of drunk halflings are having the time of their lives!
  Session 24 - 8th April 2020 - Shadowfell Rescue
Learning that there are other halflings missing, they take another venture out into the woods and revisit the cages, having more time to look around they discover a path with halfling tracks and follow it to this rather large tree. At the base of the tree there is a strange patch of darkness that seems to absorb all surrounding light. After trying all manner of tests and interactions with it they figure out it's a portal and they head through to the Shadowfell. Following some tracks a little further inside they come across some cages hanging from tree branches, swinging in the wind and creaking. There are beings inside the cages and one of them shouts out to the others as the group come into view.
  Session 23 - 25th March 2020 - The Sorrowsworn
Battling these creatures after some heavy damage they take a short rest before carrying on down the path. They encounter another larger shadow creature infront of some cages, deciding to get an advantage on this one they all strike well and together making shorter work of this one. Inside the cage they find an unresponsive halfling matching the missing ones description, after failing to revive him they take him back to Ank where they are able to magically revive him. They rest up for the evening.
  Session 22 - 11th March 2020 - Back Into The Woods
Heading to Ank, they visit The Grumpy Ogre where they rest up and catch up. They find out a halfling who works on a local farm had been missing for a couple of days and they take on the mission. The group head into the woods by the farm and pick up the trail, going much deeper into the woods. They also pick up on some strange creatures tracks before a sense of dread sets in and chills run through the party.   Encountering these deformed shadowy creatures, some with blade like limbs or dangling whip like arms among other features.
  Session 21 - 26th February 2020 - Ankward Bound
After an extensive investigation of the ruins, slightly unsatisfied not being able to find any way into them other than trying to dig, they decide they should head to Ank and check it out.   Along the way they rest up and hear some unusual sounds off the beaten path, a combination of sucking like noises and clicking but far away. Through the night they seem to get a little closer and just as the sun begins to come up they are within the parties grasp. Not being able to see them in the high grasses and weeds, they wait for them to emerge. These small slimy creatures with wide circular mouths full of teeth come out at them and the group manage to defeat the strange abominations.   Not wanting to stick around in case there are any bigger versions of these creatures they press on towards Ank.
  Session 20 - 12th February 2020 - Moving on
The group decide to take Terry back to Sam's place to do with as they please and Lythienne opts to stay behind. A few of his previous employees have to come to Sam's place and one of them (Dharma) shows a paticular interest in joining them. The group them moves out of town towards the Vermell Forest.   They travel with their wagon, attempting to go off track and explore but don't manage to get past much of the treeline. After several days and nights trek they reach the Al'Tea Ruins in the western part of the woodland.
  Session 19 - 2nd January 2020 - A Group Effort
The Dragon Slayers spent some time at the guild, examining their samples and creating new weapons and items before teleporting to Torrow to meet the Savage Gardeners at the Happy Tarrasque.   After a brief catch up they go to see Sam Cormant and the developments to their base of operations. They are informed of the apparent locations, defences and forces of the remaining pirate leaders and many tunnels have been secured under ground.   It is apparent that Terry Cooke is the big bad compared to the others, with Turner appearing easiest and the others in the middle. A plan is hatched to convince him that they want to help get rid of the other pirate leaders when really they are after Terry himself. They set out to the northern parts of town to do some recon and get more intel.   They discover a back alley square filled with gardens, passageways and walkthroughs in the rough location Terry’s underground base is suspected to be. After staking it out for a while, they notice patterns in ‘guard’ movements, every ten minutes, two people walk through looking around and disappearing.   After a little while, they approach one group, a man and woman who appear surprised at being accosted. The woman lets the man deal with it as she patrols some more on her own, not wanting to get in trouble. and they convince the man they have a business deal to present to Terry.   He goes off and comes back with bruised face, apparently from a frustrated Cooke. The boss wants them in to explain the deal and off they go through some back doors and hidden passageways, leading to a staircase going underground. They are lead into a large stone chamber with guards at the entrance and doorways inside and then into a much nicer room with luscious carpets, fine artwork and ornate décor, a roaring fire at one end of the room and a larger than life silver throne, Terry currently perched on top.   The group chat with Terry and explain their plans to him, he seems interested and asks them to return with a final plan and if they need any resources to get it done they can sort the terms out then. While he is distracted, Jael attempts to strike Terry but the weapon passes through and by the time he has looked around again Jael has stowed it away. The group are sent away, researching the magic and learning he must have been close by casting the spell, they regroup with the others and plan.   In the dead of night they send the black guard reinforcements down and teleport in, telling the guards they have their plan and reinforcements and to get Terry, a guard heads off to wake him and Nelia follows invisible. The guard goes down a back corridor to a room and wakes Terry, after informing the black guard she sneaks into the room with Terry.   The party go into throne room and speak with the projection of Terry telling him they are ready to strike, at this time Nelia attacks from the shadows catching him unawares and unequipped, striking several blows before being joined by the rest of the group, the black guard fighting Terry’s guys.   Terry is knocked down but stabalized and unconscious….
  Session 18 - 18th December 2019 - Spooky Shit
Battle with the creatures begin, masses of vines and weeds springing out to grapple the team while the corpses strike with necrotic energy. They land a few damaging hits with a few close calls but the group manages to destroy the creatures with a series of slashes and fire.   Moving slightly further inwards they reach a small drop and can see a swamp of endless churning vines and rotting corpses, almost at that exact time they receive a message from the other group telling them they have gone back to the mainland to the guild. Deciding this may be an excellent time to go back and re plan for another time, they make their way back to their boat and sail back to Torrow to plan for their next moves.
  Session 17 - 20th November 2019 - Island Fever
Lee and Morrigan head to the Cormant family compound, with Lythienne tailing behind via the rooftops. They talk to the guards at the front while Lythienne sneaks in the back, noticing a general state of disrepair all round. Learning it's only Sam and the guards here, he is persuaded to help the group letting them set up at his place and informing them of the meeting taking place between the families that night.   With a message sent for some back up, they go to the Happy Tarrasque and wait upstairs to listen in on the meeting. Lasting over an hour the meeting comes to a closer with the pirates signing a treaty and agreeing to a level of peace, a solution for the time being. The group head downstairs to catch up with the adventurers that hosted the talks. They head back to the Cormant's place to spend the night, Lythienne leaves early morning to meet her reinforcements and updates them on the situation. They are instructed to use Sam's place as a base of operations and more black guard will be joining them soon. Many old smuggling tunnels benetah the town and property are being excavated by Sam's people and the black guard to see if they can be used as a sneaky means of attack although this is estimated to take a little time.   They head into town and get some supplies including a ship gifted to them by Sam, along with a crew and head to Venk to explore just as they learned their friends were planning to do although they discover they have already long gone. Managing to moore up in a safe ish little cove to the south west of the island they settle themselves on land and take in the sights before them, endless cliffs and plateaus towering towards the middle of the island all heavily overgrown. They ascend the easiest looking route ahead of them making their way up a small hillside and into the forest that greets them at the top, wandering through they sense something is watching them and they hear a slithering sound up ahead. Getting closer to the source of the noise they see a mass of vines, sticks and weeds moving along the forest floor, they hear the sounds of another slithering mess behind them and as they turn around it stands up revealing a rotting humanoid corpse underneath infested with plantlife.
  Session 16 - 6th November 2019 - A fork in the road
Getting a taste for exploration they head to Tynn Barrow to see what it has to offer, finding an ever expanding mass of fields filled with graves and crypts they begin to explore. After a rather dismal couple of hours they don't find anything exciting or out of the ordinary but a full serach of the grounds could take days even weeks. They head back to Frea to rest up and plan for the next adventure.   Meeting some black guard they are informed of the groups actions and are put on standby, a messaging system put in place and fully stocked, they plan a trip to Torrow taking several days of travel. Arriving at the outskirts of town, they come across disused farmland and stash their horses, cart and Marloux (guarding) in a barn. Noticing the severe lack of .... anything.... they make their way into the town square. Seeing a lot of places boarded up and chained shut they head into the Happy Tarrasque which is open despite being empty and they meet the owners and chat with them.   They find out the other group stayed last night, the pirate factions are squabbling over things and nobody not even them really know what happened anymore. Faced with a moral quandary over talk and conflict there are heated discussions. Lee wants to visit the Cormant Family as they are seen to be weakest while the others decide what the next steps they want to take are...
  Session 15 - 23rd October 2019 - Private Investigators
Spending their time in Frea for mostly training purposes they enjoy a week of downtime, however Lythienne gets right on investigating the townsfolk. They discover a tavern worker who is secretly stealing all the high quality cheese and they let the tavern owners know. They next move on to one of the owners of the Inn they are staying at, and discover he is having an affair in one of the rooms, after much...fuss... they decide not to do anything with the information.   A trader selling troll burgers catches her eye and after discovering where the vendor lives, a good snoop of their home reveals badly kept meat of all kinds, most certainly not trolls. Another member of town has headed out on business and they decide not to pursue them any further. After a rather underwhelming set of events, the group head off to explore the Lotak ruins and are given an excellent in depth tour by a dwarf.
  Session 14 - 9th October 2019 - Pine Retreat
The group head north and eventually run into the path of more shadow demons, in the middle of performing a ritual. They sneak past them and carry on heading towards the center of the woods stumbling across another group perfroming a ritual who they also sneak past. They have a feeling they are being watched and sure enough cold breath attacks spring from the treetops as an invisible foe begins chase when the party begin to sprint away. For well over an hour they are chased by the invisible foe until they reach the very outskirts of the pines where they take a well earned rest.   Traveling to Odek the next day, they sell some items and make a very fashionable sword from Peryton parts. They travel south towards Frea and try to charm some animals along the way and get an elk and an eagle to somewhat trust them but not enpough to follow them. Once in Frea they explore and investigate the town, finding some shifty townsfolk to further investigate.
  Session 13 - 26th September 2019 - In The Shadows
The group fight with the perytons which proves to be a little tricky but manageable, pulling off some excellent combat techniques and combos along the way. After defeating the monstrous birds, the party venture further into the pines, immersing themselves in the thick swirling fog. Venturing a few hours further in, they eventually discover more shadowy forms in the fog and a rapidly swirling area of fog, standing guard they wait as the forms of three shadow creatures manifest. They tell the group to let them be and make their way towards the center of the woods, the party decides to strike the beings and battle commences.   The creatures attempt to cast a sort of ritual but the players manage to defeat them before it is completed, investigating the ground beneath them it seems the dark fog seems to spew out of it and a pulling effect can be felt getting too close. The loud high pitched shrieking cries of a beast ripple through the woods, much different from the roars of the perytons. Something is out there...
  Session 12 - 11th September 2019 - Into the Pines
Starting a new day in Fooks, the group plan for what to do next, meeting a new acquaintance in the inn who'd like to travel with them (Lythienne), a member of the Black Guard looking for a change. Lee talks about his mission from the Ti'Lun Monastery and the crossing of the planes taking place with the Shadow Pines a prime location for the Shadowfell to seep into the material plane. They decide to stock up on supplies and head north then east to Odek where Lythienne speaks with some of the Black Guard to get some more information on the current state of the pines.   Learning that there has been a rise in activity in the last week or so, with many sightings and reported attacks, the group decide to go and check it out from themselves. Traveling up towards the pines, they rest for the night just outside, keeping watch through the night. They notice an eerie black fog sweeping through the lands seeming to originate from the treeline, it doesn't seem to be magical or harmful in any way and can be manipulated like regular fog. When daylight comes, they journey down into the tree line and enter the outskirts of the Shadow Pines, the fog seemer thinner in places but still hampering vision slightly. Out of the corner of their eyes, shadows fly around them moving ever closer, a few expert strikes keep them at bay but the victory is cut short as the cries of perytons can be heard in close proximity. Two burst forth from an opening in the treetops followed by a much larger one, dive-bombing straight for the party.
  Session 11 - 30th August 2019 - Basement Monk
In the middle of the fighting and commotion, the trap door bursts open and the figure of Lee, a human monk flies out as Ereoss tumbles down the hole in the ground. The hags go for Lee and he enters the battle, while Morrigan and Marloux deal with the other hag in the other room. More bolts of lightning fly from the hags amid of a mess of swipes with their clawed hands, the group responding with brute force, fire and acid attacks but take heavy damage. Ereoss makes his way back up to join the fight and together they finish the hags off, leaving immense structural damage to the manor house.   With the threat gone the party and the newcomer get more comfortable with each other and share stories, they search the basement below and find the stolen boxes of potions from Fooks among a load of old clutter, they also search the hags and recover a black stone and leathery bag. Upon opening the bag, a white-blue ball of light flies out and flies through the roof of the house, closer inspection shows the bag is made from human skin. Closer inspection of the gem shows it has healing properties but something else was tainting the reading, they take a long rest in the house and set off in the morning back to Fooks.   When they reach the town, the first port of call is the potion shop. Returning to Kermit they return the valuable potions and he rewards them with a crate of greater healing potions and throws in a rare variation on top after a little suggestion from Marloux. Heading towards the magic school as it's close by, they seek information of the items from the hags and after a few chats and reading sessions, they discover the bag is a Soul Bag and the gem a Heart Stone. The bag contained an evil soul and the gemstone removes disease and can make hags ethereal although how they do it is unknown. Deciding to use the rest of the day to explore the rest of the town a little better, they check out the mines towards the south of town and ask a tour guide if they have more info on either of the items, they do not and seem pretty spooked after handling the hags items. They find an Inn and rest for the night...
  Session 10 - 15th August 2019 - The Women in the Woods
Reaching Fooks, the party do a little browsing and head to the southern part of town to the caretaker's buildings to see if there's any work they can pick up. Almost as a nice surprise, there seems to be a lot of choices and after having a good dig around in the noticeboards, something piques their interest slightly more than the others. The main potion shop in Fooks was robbed two days ago and some valuable potions were taken with a reward for the retrieval of said potions.   The group head back to the northern edge of town to the potion shop and speak with the owner (Kermit) who fills them in a little more on the details, they are shown the back room where there is evidence of a break-in and the broken remains of a few chests. The chests seem to be protected with some form of powerful abjuration magic, they look for tracks outside and the pseudodragon sniffs out a scent which they follow out the back of the shop, through some lanes and into the treeline. They follow it a good twenty or so minutes into the woods where they come across the outskirts of a small estate, a small amount of light flickering inside with shadows moving around. Marlouxmakes some strange but loud noises and the door opens and a cloaked figure comes out to investigate, shouting out to whoever might be out there before heading back inside.   They wait a few minutes and then approach the door, Morrigan makes her way to the back of the house and Marloux knocks. A few moments go by and the cloaked figure opens the door, the light not good enough to make out a face but a voice of an elderly female extends from the clothing asking what they want and if they were lost, also if they were making the racket minutes before. After a little chat they are offered in and directed to the main living space which is the only lit room in the place, there are two much younger women at the table in the middle of reading and they greet the party as they are offered seats. They learn that they are the elderly women's grandaughters who are visiting, they decline the offers of tea and cakes and ask to search the premises for the missing potions to which the ladies agree.   A search of the home ensues as the party split up and explore, they don't find anything suspicious but the house is noticeably dusty and in a state of neglect with many cobwebs, mold and damp in several rooms. They make their back into the central area and Ereoss notices the rug on the floor looks suspiciously clean after seeing the rest of the house and walking over it has a feeling there could be a trapdoor underneath. The women appear nervous as he stamps on the rug, then throws up the corner to reveal a wooden panel. A flash of purple and a loud popping noise later, the forms of the women are gone as they appear just in front of the group, their forms changing into dark wrinkly skinned hags, hands turning into sharp claws and small horns protruding from their scraggly matted hair. They charge at the group in a flurry of claws, chasing them through the house and firing beams of lightning that break through the sides of the house and shatter glass. Morrigan notices one of the creatures has a medallion around its neck and lands an arrow right in the middle of it causing it to shatter and the hags to scream in pain and cover their heads with their claws, the group land a few good blows while they are distracted in this fashion.   The fight continues...
  Session 9 - 1st August 2019 - Giant Slayers
The group enters the cave and a rock flies through the air out of the darkness, striking Marloux in the side. The large figure of a giant looms into view as the cave is lit up with a wall of fire. The giant runs through it and downs Marloux before moving on to Morrigan, who casts mirror image and manages to escape the path of fury.   A combination of some well-placed fire spells and a big old ball of acid eventually melts away at the giant's skin and ultimately leads to its death. The group explore the rest of the cave, finding some stashed gear and treasure which they take for themselves before exiting the cave.   They identify one of the gems found and discover it has the power to summon a fire elemental. They take the giants food supply to try and lure some beasts with it in the future. They make their way back down the mountain pass towards the Yama Valley once more to collect their cart.   Along the way, Ereoss notices something out of the corner of his eye, dart into a cave off to the side. Very carefully making their way inside they discover a pseudodragon doing it's best to blend into the rocks, they place some food down for it and once it understands it's been seen it goes for the food. It accepts their request for it to join and Morrigan opts to look after it as it flies onto her head, gripping into her hair. They spot some wolves that they feed on the way back and eventually make it back to their ride. They head to Fooks spending a few days traveling on the road.
  Session 8 - 16th July 2019 - Cool Down
Rising early and making their plans the group decide to leave for the guild. When they are walking through town, guards approach and ask if they had anything to do with the dragon to which the group confirms, Queen Elaris would like to see them and they happily oblige. The guards take them to the royal courtyard where they meet the queen, she offers them a favour in future for their efforts and a small plot of land where a house is to be built for them. The recieve amulets with the royal crest embossed on them to show they have her favour, they decide to help out around town rebuilding and set off in the afternoon for the guild.   They arrive a few days later, noticing the expansion developing nicely. They see a message for any involved in the dragon fight to visit the Council of Raux at the earliest convenience and note it. They spend almost a week here on a well deserved cool down from the dragon fight, Ereoss gets to work forging the hammer for Jael among other things. Thinking it could be in their best interests to hunt down some rare beasts and rare plants to rake in the gold they go exploring the Yama Valley.   Taking in the sights they go off track in the mountains towards the Rook Woods, along some pretty rough terrain, resting in a cave for the night and continuing to explore the following day. Discovering a cave full of bats they climb even further, reaching a plateau with a large cave ahead of them...
  Session 7 - 06th June 2019 - Raphhar
Hearing that a group has not long set out to hunt down the dragon, the group decide to give their assistance. They head to the Zeleno Mountains, finding the fresh tracks and follow then up into the peaks. After a few hours travel, deep roaring and shouting can be heard coming from the mounatins and pinning the sound down to a cavern they make their way inside.   Pouring inside the cavern they immediately see an epic battle taking place and join the fray trying to keep their distance and break through the tough hide and scales with little to no effect. One of the fighters transforms into an earth elemental and throws another on to the dragon where she begins to hack away despite numerous attempts at being shaken off, the rest of the group keep aiming ranged attacks at the flying beast.   Some incredibly lucky shots to the underbelly from both groups alongside the one on it's back manage to weaken Raphhar significantly, who struggles to get enough power to unleash the fiery fury from its throat several times although managing to get out one or two before being forced to ground. Another one of them slices the dragon with the Shadowblade along its underbelly with one deep long cut, Elioweir manages to fire an arrow of lightning down its throat and Morrigan douses the creature in acid, wearing it down but it refuses to give up. Marloux summons some divine guardians to help bring the dragon down and Ereoss delivers some extreme healing to the group.   The dragon finally meets its end and is harvested by the seemingly innards hungry group. The cave is searched for anything (especially treasure) and nothing is found (especially treasure), looking around it doesn't look like the lair of a red dragon and surmise the lair and possible treasure must be elsewhere. The group heads back along the mountain pass, through the badlands and to O'Pax to rest up for the night, catch up with the new group and plan their next move.
  Session 6 - 15th May 2019 - Dragon Business
The group chooses to have a brief chat with the passing adventurers and learns that they had encountered the Val Viri in the past and lost an acquaintance fighting them. They were choosing to stay out of it and wished the party well on their travels.   Reaching Arkin Cross they think of a place to rest and decide on the dwarven city inside the Groc Peaks. Making their way up the winding mountain pass and past the volcano and its forges they approach the large carved out tunnel welcoming them inside. A beautiful set of hollowed out caverns, decorated with fine stone carvings, gold, silver and gems from floor to ceiling greets the party. Magical lighting makes everything seem to shimmer and even the floor is elegantly paved all the way down to the communal areas.   Making their way down into almost the town square style surroundings they lay eyes on an incredibly sized Adventurers Hall and get themselves beds for a nice long rest.   Morrigan is already awake when a loud roar rips through the mountains, followed by another with the 2nd one waking the others. Scrambling to get their things together they make their way out back into the town square to see guards and others running up the path to the entrance they come through last night. Deciding to give chase and find out what's making the noise the run after them bursting out into bright sunlight. As they adjust their eyes a shadow is cast over them, one of the guards runs straight back past the party as looking up they see an enormous form of a dragon fly off towards the north.   People all around seem to be panicked, a dragon hasn't been seen in these mountains for a very long time. A crowd of people is now standing around loudly discussing the events and the word dragon almost echoes through the entire range of mountains. Not wanting to waste their stay here they head back inside to a somewhat shaken community and do a little trading of goods. Ereoss picks up a new mace and shield while Morrigan a new crossbow. Marlouxsells his potions to another trader and they regroup and re-plan.   Heading out the other side of the mountains they go back to Ank to retrieve their mounts and wagon and decide to set off for the guild. Making their way up through Raux they learn the dragon had flown to O'Pax and destroyed half the town with fire before fleeing towards the east after suffering some damage from the townsfolk and their cannons and ballistas. They move on to the guild and discover a lot of guards and support have gone to O'Pax to assist in any way they can. The party contemplates whether to go along as well or hold back.
  Session 5 - 1st May 2019 - Investigations
After some time at the guild, catching up on events and information, the party decide to venture back south to the Vermell Forest. Armed with more information on the Val Viri, they are determined to help investigate as they learn other teams are on the case but also have nothing concrete. They make their way to Ank, take a short rest, leave the horses and cart and begin to venture into the night along Tokrin Way. Hearing something in the distance they dive into the bushes to hide and observe and see what appears to be another adventuring party moving less stealthy than themselves along the main pathway.
  Session 4 - 17th April 2019 - What to do next?
Starting the session in Ank, the players decide to explore the little town, slightly awkwardly in places due to the smaller nature of the surroundings. After a while, they get the sense there doesn't seem to be any immediate threats or dangers in the area and only basic work to take on, nothing to quench the adventure thirst the party seems to have.   They leave, deciding to make their way back to the adventurer's guild further north, traveling solidly through the day and evening, passing through the capital and continuing north to reach the guild just after midnight. They learn from catching up with the noticeboards that several postings have since been completed, amended or remain in place from the last time they were here.   There is some work going on at the guild for expansion and they are interested in stocking up their new rooms requiring a variety of ingredients, spell components and even beasts (dead or alive) with an array of rewards for bringing them in. There still seems to be danger in the badlands (orc raiding groups / orcs vs undead battles / dragon sightings) and surrounding areas and the Vermel forest (Val Viri and bandits) from where they just came. A rest is had and they stay the night, regrouping in the morning to try and decide what to do, several members of the party make a little chit chat with the staff and other groups to further learn of developments relating to their personal interests.
  Session 3 - 3rd April 2019 - Fire Camp
After continuing on the trail they notice some fresh tracks leading off towards the coast, following them they eventually find themselves near a clearing with a roaring campfire surrounded by humanoid figues. Getting closer, a figure dressed in vibrant red robes is casting some form of spell on the others and a red and silver haze fills the air around them. After some attempts to speak to the caster fail they manage to pull one of the other figuesout of the magical haze with dispel magic and this appears to break the trance they were once in.   After a failed attempt of fooling them into thinking they want to join them, the party are quick to unleash fireballs onto the group with some simply brushing it off like it was nothing. Eventually finishing them off, they rifle through their possessions finding some small riches and fire breath potions.   The party decide to make their way through to the other side of the Vermell Forest towards Ank. Checking out the Al'Tea ruins as they pass through, noting most of the ruins appear to be underground with a few small dig efforts around the site. Getting a sense that they would be excavated and explored further if not for the many dangers of the woods.   They reach the farming town of Ank, home to many of the halfling people. A twisting array of treehouses, hanging walkways, rope ladders and endless alleyways all contained within a large wooden wall. Despite it's rather cramped feel they manage to semi comfortably stay the night in one the ground level Inns.   Through some conversation they discover Ank has had some dealings with the Val Viri and the bandits with powers but with the help of the elves from Oakland to the west made it clear they were not welcome and have not since been back.
  Session 2 - 20th Feb 2019 - Crispy Pirates
The pirates make their way up to the abbey with the party just behind them. Letting them sneak in and making their presence known the party jump at the opportunity to attack the pirates from behind, almost obliterating them in one go. A priest close by and not shy of combat helped make short work of the captain. They thank the party for the assistance and they get on their way.   Elioweir races towards the now unclaimed boat that the party swiftly take ownership of, making their way back to Torrow. After 3 days travel they arrive, moore up the ship and head to the tavern they visited previously. Hearing all sorts of rumours and gossip they decide to take a trek through the Vermell Forest to see if they can notice any suspicious bandits or cult members. Sure enough they get ambushed by a small group of flamey bandits but they are no match for the party.
  Session 1 - 15th Jan 2019 - Bar Fights
The group made their way south to Torrow, having a little exploration to check out the layout of the town they settled on a tavern for the evening in the town square centre (The Happy Tarrasque). Deciding it would be interesting to start a bar fight they did just that! A while later they decided to join a captain looking for extra crew after having a recommendation from the tavern staff. Setting off on a journey lasting 3 days and nights they approach O'Pax in the dark. The captain shows the group several secret tunnel entrances the group and pirates make their way into the town through a secret trapdoor in one of the shops. The pirates have spread out ready to attack and the players are close enough together to form a very quick plan.
