Orc
Orcs are a broad collection of subspecies found across Naru. They usually share some common characteristics such as towering statures, formidable physicality and rugged, darker skin tones of grey, greens and blues.
Known for their volatile temperaments and inclination for aggression, they are quick to anger and easily offended. Their impatience leads them to favour brute strength and violence as primary means of conflict resolution, often neglecting more diplomatic approaches. Typically organized into small to medium-sized tribes, these communities are governed by a singular chieftain or warlord. Only in times of imminent conflict or in the face of a common enemy do orcs unite in larger numbers, rallying under a shared banner of defence or conquest.
While it is rare, some orcs have managed to largely shed the predispositions of their heritage and integrate into civilised societies. It is almost always these types of orc that go on to produce half-orc kin, and they are very rarely if ever, found among tribes in the wild.
