Zadrid

The most populated of the two Tariksani islands, Zadrid is also the name of the township that covers them both. It's beaches are easy to land boats upon, and it's south-west side is sheltered from most weather. As a consequence it has a high population, with fishermen mingling with craftsmen who benefit from the excellent trade from being on the channel. The land that is there is mostly fields used to grow the islands food, and the whole island has a tame, homely feel. There are no large settlements on Zadrid island, travel is so easy that the largest collection of buildings you will find are the hamlets that surround the larger ports, ferry docks, and fish markets.

Geography

A naturally rounded underwater hill, the island of Zadrid is gentle, and a pilot's paradise. To sink a boat around it's shores is incredibly unlucky. It's land continues this friendly trend, with the fertile (if slightly boggy) fields being easy to use and navigate.
