Lord of one of the Nine Myrven Kingdoms

Lords are the owners and enforcers of the land they live on. All land in a kingdom is owned by lords, and most of the workforce. Whilst not slaves, the common people live in a form of serfdom, where the lord provides for them and they do as he asks. Each Lord has a personal warband, called a weatherod, who fight for him. These warriors are a slightly higher social rank than commons, but come from them, and so essentially act as a voice for the people. A lord can lose his seat if a member of the wetherod decides to challenge him, and gains enough support.
