Hengani
The larger of Tariksan's islands in the channel, Hengani is partly volcanic and has on it two port villages: Delamey and Sontil. It finds itself much emptier than it's sister island, Zadrid, because the volcano on one end of the island makes the terrain much rougher. To it's residents, however, it is as cosy a home as they could imagine; the ragged rocks both in and out of the water protect the island from raiders and pirates. A lot of the lower land is dedicated to vine farms and keeping goats, but a significant proportion of Hengani is still forested. Lots of the farmland is owned by a wealthy elven family, who make high quality wine, and excellent goat's cheese (called 'Hengal's Torch').
Geography
Quite hilly, with shallow soil rich in nutrients from old volcanic activity. Near Sontil there is a small amount of good quality obsidian, which a few locals quarry and shape.
