Guild of the red snake
The guild of the red snake is a tradition-based religion that focuses on four groups of people within society. It is very old, with no written records and a huge variety of practices. All it's follows strive for good fortune in their lives, and have a rough moral code. None of the gods in the tetrad demand much from their followers, and have no strong moral code other that to protect the people like you.
Mythology & Lore
The story goes that, in ages past, a red serpent travelled over land and sea, in search for great people. It found four normal townsfolk, and began to teach them great and powerful magic. Eventually the four: Hossan, Xelita, Durzen and Larmintif, met each other and learnt of each others powers. As a unified force, they protected the people they'd lived with. Merchants, farmers, sailors, and hunters. All found great prosperity under their new powerful heros.
Eventually the red snake started to come to them with demands. At it's call they lead rebellions and negotiate treaties. The four recieve this well until they discover a huge number of their rebellions were later caught and executed, and they stop obeying the commands of the serpent, and begin to look for a safe place in the world to retire.
The red snake asks them to do one last thing before they retire, and descibes in excellent detail the ascension ceremony. The four realise what they're being asked to do, and despite the fact the snake attemped to decive them, realise that in the arcana they can protect thier people in their own ways.
So the four release their souls into the arcana at the intersection of road, sea, field, and forest, and are still devoted to look after the people they came from.
Divine Origins
Brought to the Tariksani area along the trading routes to the northeast, very little is known about this old religion thanks to it's nature of moving around and not keeping written records. There is some suspicion that the "red snake" is in fact a dragon.
