Parandor Estate

Located in the Vendramyran capital of Atharrin, the Parandor Estate is the seat of not only the Parandor family line, but the Parandor Trading Company itself. The business has a multitude offices elsewhere -- in the city, in other locations within Vendramyr, and even in other cities throughout Namkural -- but even the official PTC base of operations is considered secondary to the Estate. That may be where the contracts are written, stocks and ships tracked, and all official business conducted: but given the dynastic nature of the family that heads the company, many luna sidhe still consider their ancestral home to be at the heart of the economic powerhouse.   The Parandor Estate was constructed shortly after the Sidhen-Orcish Wars, when the Lukai family selected Atharrin as their new nation's capital. With Dausitae Parandor appointed as the first Thaumaturge's Minister of Trade, he was quick to buy up a sprawling plot of land overlooking the fledgling city, positioned on a slope leading down to the sea, and build a home there. The land and the buildings on it have since been passed down in an unbroken line through the Parandor family, with each subsequent owner taking on projects to add to, mend, or renovate areas of the Estate. However, the current head of the PTC, Tarxle Parandor, has kept the Estate much the same as it was at the time of his parents' and uncle's assassination.   As the most lavish and expensive of the familial homes in Atharrin, the Parandor Estate is a well-guarded and heavily-patrolled plot of land. Visitors come and go regularly with deliveries and on business, often seeking an appointment with Tarxle or his majordomo, a shadowkin woman named Isri. Though no part of it is open to the public, it is occasionally opened for the odd gala or pary: but the guest list is kept exclusive, heavily monitored, and with increased security since the passing of Xysis, Ythess, and Andreiss Parandor.
