Sylkas
Sylkas is a Shadar-Kai who has given his life to serve his mistress, The Raven Queen. Sylkas was sent by the Raven Queen to the material plane through a portal that was opened by reckless human mages long ago. His purpose is to stabilize the portal he came through and create other stable portals through which to bring more monsters from the Shadowfell. The Raven Queen is in constant need of memories - especially sad ones full on anguish - in order to maintain some semblance of existence.
Sylkas knows this and wants to enslave the realm in torment and terror in an attempt to permanently heal his queen and his people. He believes that, although what he is doing is horrible, it is ultimately the only way to redeem his race and queen.
